Winning Points - Exercise question

  • I did WW a few years back and signed back up last weekend - since I was an "old-timer" - I didn't get a run-down of the program, but in reading through the literature I received, it looks like it has changed slightly.

Just wanted to see if I have this straight - when I first joined, we included 20 minutes of exercise every day, and I think we earned a point for every 20 minutes over that first 20. So, I would earn 1 point if I exercised 40 minutes.

Now, it looks like the exercise is "optional" - but I can earn points if I do it? Like I earn a point per 20 minutes - so I'd earn 2 points if I did 40 minutes.

Am I reading this incorrectly or is this right?
  • Exercise (as in all the plans) is always suggested and you get the benefit from it.

With the old 1-2-3 Success program it was suggested you did a minimum of 20 minutes of activity and you earned 1 point for each additional 20 minutes you did. However research proved that sometimes that was not enough.

They came up with a formula (aka Activity Points finder) based on intensity/time/current weight to earn activity points.

You can choose to use these or bank them or not use them at all just like with the 1-2-3 Success ones.

Now your 40 minutes could be 2-4 or more points.
