Weird but good.

  • My size 20 pants have been big for weeks but elastic at the waists holds them on. I've been adding things to the thrift bag as they get just too big to the point that all I had left to wear for everyday type of clothing in the now cooler weather is one pair of stretch denim that was loose out of the dryer and a few long sleeve shirts. I decided today was the day to go to Value Village and see what I could rustle up to wear.

I couldn't find any size 18 pant's that I liked but a few 16s that I thought were possible, maybe in a few weeks. I tried them all on and except one, they all fit, not tight but fit perfectly. I totally bypassed size 18 on the bottom anyway. I didn't get so lucky in the shirt department. Everything was two sizes too big, too small or just wrong.

The odd thing is that I'm hovering at 220 but am compacting. I'll take it anyway.

We don't have a full length mirror at home and I had no idea how baggy my clothes had gotten until I saw myself in the dressing room mirror. I looked like a scarecrow in my old clothes. And I have shoulders now, not rounded humps that meld neck into arms.

    I'm melting....
  • Congratulations on the melting YOU
  • Congratulations! I bet your new pants look really nice.
  • Good job!
  • I bet your new pants look really nice.

Definitely better than the baggy seated things I've been schlepping around in.

    Cat
  • Yay!
  • Congrats! It's such an interesting facet of a great diet plan that you can try on clothes that are slightly too small and know for a fact that they will fit in a week or two.

    Great job!!!!
  • Congratulations, that's so exciting!!!
