This is the place for intros, so I will introduce myself.
I have been reading the threads for a few days now. There is so much inspiration here. What a great support place.
I had been avoiding the scale for a while because I didn't want to know, but we applied for passports and I had to know. I wasn't surprised but I wasn't happy either. My starting weight was 198.
The plan I am following is my own. I've lost weight before eating sensibly, following the food guide to be sure I get a good variety of foods each day. I make sensible choices based on calories, fat and fiber but I don't count calories. I aim to eat three meals and three snacks a day. Right now I'm working on eating right, and will add structured fitness in later although I'm trying to put more movement into my day ( biking with the kids, etc).
