Sometimes when you show up to life, life shows you where to go

Just started working with a new medical provider. She is kind, caring and no-nonsense. She used the word "obese" five times while talking with me on Thursday.

I no longer want to be associated with being so overweight. I am miserable. The new clothes I just bought in June for a trip are already tight.

So the parting words of my doctor on Thursday were "if it is white, it isn't right". Good-bye sugar, good-bye flour, and good-bye any other white food product.

While I am currently overwhelmed by the new dietary challenges, I know I will muddle through this.

I am so grateful that I found these message boards this afternoon. I know I was led here for a reason.
