You know you're on plan when...

You're on Page 1 of 2

  • ...you show up to an event or gathering and find there are unexpected treats/food there that you probably could have worked into your daily calories if you had KNOWN about them... But no, you're already committed to your plan for the day... And that just pisses you off - but you don't cave!

    Pissed, but on plan...

Feel free to add to this!
  • I weigh out what i eat and i workout regularly!
  • When you pass someone in the hallway, who is eating a piece of chocolate cake, to go get your cottage cheese.
  • You give yourself the go-ahead to stop at the store and get that snack you've been craving all day....but after a quick workout, you find yourself heading straight home thinking "I COULD go get it...but instead I choose to stay on track"
  • when you feel fully satisfied by simple food.
  • When you get the craving to eat something off plan, walk/drive/run to wherever said food is located, and still end up making a much healthier choice.
  • When cheating means an extra piece of fruit instead of a whole family size bag of potato chips.
  • You need to buy new undergarments because things are getting terribly baggy.
  • when your family is coming over and you buy one bag of chips instead of two because you know you won't eat one entire bag just by yourself!
  • Love these!! Had another one today:

When you go through the drive thru at Subway (strange they have a drive thru, it's not really fast at all) and are about a block away when you realize they slathered your veggie sandwich with mayo instead of vinegar, which looks pretty tempting, but you drive back and stand in a lunch rush line to get them to make another (correct, and on plan) sandwich for you.

That's impressive! Usually when I decide to eat off plan there's no going back from it!
  • When you feel extreme pride walking past a bakery because you didn't think twice about purchasing a cupcake
  • When you make a planned purchase of a small bag peanut M&Ms for a treat, eat a few of them, realize you don't like the overwhelming taste of dye and you throw the rest away.

I totally get this. Do you guys have kettle chips in the US? Or, any kind of thick hand cooked type crisps/chips- they're the kind of thing that I look forward to, eat one and think 'EUGH these just taste like grease' and give them to my brother.

I know I'm on plan when I feel happy (although sometimes hungry!) with myself. Off plan = feeling grumpy and unpleasant.

Oh, yes! I used to eat kettle chips by the bag full. Now? Ew.
