  • Hi here we are week 7 and you guys are doing awesome. There were some huge accomplishments last week that I never got a chance to respond to.

I will do personals from last week still just need to do it on the computer or get out the keyboard for the ipad. I type a little better on it

I didn't do so good last week TOM got the best of me but I'm hoping to change that this week again. Well I'll close for now and be back with more tomorrow or on Tuesday.

It's Canada Day here tomorrow so HAPPY CANADA DAY to all the Canadians here
  • So sorry ladies, I was so busy with company here I failed to put in my weight! But the good news is, is that 203 has stayed and 201 is showing up a little now and then! Independence Day in Onederland - plus a big loss for next week's weigh-in (that I won't miss this time) Good job everyone, here's to another great week.
  • Hi everyone I'm going to say its Monday and the first which a lot of people always wait til Monday to start things.....bonus is the first too.

I challenge you all to take your measurements today as well as a photo of yourself from from and side. We will compare results in August. Mine is already done anyone with me.

I'm going to see if I can figure out how you post a picture as I'm doing an ab challenge starting today too. Ill be doing it later going to see my brother for lunch and he lives an hour and a half away so should get my buns in gear.

    Have a great day ladies
  • Anyway today is
    15 sit ups
    5 crunches
    5 leg raises
    10sec plank

This may not seem like much but it increases fast so only do this and of course your normal workout.
  • Blue Team:

    Total Lost: 3.4 lbs (-0.13%)

Blue Team Biggest Loser: jessicado22 (-3.5 lbs, -1.74%)

    Honorable Mentions:

    Dumplin (-2.0 lbs, -0.94%)
    hiddenstar (-1.0 lbs, -0.61%)
    Tkkoz (-0.7 lbs, -0.28%)

Congratulations to all the week 6 losers !

    Here's to a great week 7 !
  • Hi ladies!

(replying from posts in last week's thread)

Dumplin -- thanks! Hope you have so much fun with your daughter! And if I remember right, she is watching her calories too, so that should be so nice for the both of you to have someone to support you around, instead of someone to tempt! My husband is the same way too....grrr! He eats candy every night, and also late night meals, drinks pop, eats fast food and stays the same. He once lost 30 pounds in about 1 1/2 months and DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHY!!!!! The only difference was we were walking our kid to school (about a mile). Keep in mind, I was walking the same and I didn't lose a freaking pound. Men.

And CONGRATS on those 2 pounds!! Way to go!

hiddenstar -- That is so neat that your kids are kinda making you workout! Right now the little one is constantly tearing me away from the treadmill, so I haven't bothered to get a gym membership again. Can't wait until I can and just work out for as long as I want too...even better when they WANT to go and drag me along with

Doragone -- glad your medical stuff is getting better! And congrats on the loss too!! So close to Onederland

Bigmid -- challenge accepted. Last time I lost weight, I took photos front/side every ten pounds. Now I have taken...well none, lol. Need to change that. Also because I want to post a mini goal photo of reaching Onederland!

Challenge also accepted for exercises. I can feel a difference with the ones from last week!

Scale was down to 196 today for me. So I think I am officially in Onderland. I've been fluctuating between 198/199 so seemed to close to consider it real yet.

Hope everyone has a great week!
  • Hi all, congratulations jessca, dumplin & hiddenstar on being biggest losers this week

Happy Canada Day Bigmid i was just telling my son i need more core work, so perfect timimg for your challenge
dora fingers crossed for you thus week, onrderland is so close
jessica Congratulations! You have been kicking some serious butt every week, well done

Apologies for being MIA, just been feeling rather Blah at the moment weigh in for me is tomorrow but think i will need a 'freebie' (to top off the week TOM has arrived, which kind of explains the blah).
  • Ill be back in a bit to post but today is

    20 sit ups
    8 crunches
    8 leg raises
    12sec plank
  • Today is
    25 sit ups
    10 crunches
    10 leg raises
    15 sec plank

Tomorrow is a rest day for abs
  • CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
    jessicado22, Dumplin, hiddenstar, Tkkoz
    great job ladies

now on to the catching up of last weeks thread as well as this week

Jessica - ha ha I just looked back at the 20 sit ups etc from last week and forgot I posted it.....good thing you did them because I forgot about it...lol
For right now the meds are permanent but I am going to go see her in a couple weeks to see if we can change them to something different. The one week of bad out does the 3 weeks of good on them.
    CONGRATULATIONS: onederland that's awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now try to see if you have pictures from before as I do the same thing I look in the mirror and say I look the same but when I look back at an old photo I can actually see the difference. The younger firmer thing rings so true with me.....so sad this aging process. Your still way younger than me so there is hope of firming. I am still firming too but my batwings will forever be with me now
Self sabotage is huge among many people that lose and if your aware of it now you may be able to put a stop to it before it gets out of hand. You have done amazing so far and have had very constant results.....please take the time to acknowledge how amazing that is and how far you have come. Its this time you need to start enjoying the new you even as your still losing.
Congrats on the pants that's great feels good when we get into our goal jeans
mmmmm homemade popcorn...yummy and yes there would be tons of salt and water retention with that so don't worry.
WooHoo isn't it great when the ones stick....you are official
Glad your accepting my challenges, funny thing is I think (know) I'm still big but when I actually took my pics in bra and undies I thought hmmmm maybe not horrible. (bad thing is when I see this that's when I start to relax a bit and self sabotage...I must watch out for this. I'm off to do my sit ups for day 3 after I post and crazy it's not many but I can sure feel day 1 and 2

kayin - I hope you knee is better.....mmmmmm fair food so bad yet so good...lol We have the Calgary stampede here every year and I will be going again this year. Most of the time I'm okay as I'm cheap so don't like paying for overpriced anything but you have to be able to have a few things now and then....this is a lifestyle not a diet so nothing is off limits....just need to be in moderation. One day of fair food is okay. Walking is a great form of exercise so it's nice when it's something that you actually enjoy doing

Dora - I hope that you are feeling better now and that the antibiotics are working. It's tough also when you are around food choices that you don't want to have. It does take some strength to say no.....so job well done. Remember that it is okay once in a while to join in though. I find if I never have the things I really like or crave I eat my way through everything else just to get over the craving....then I eaten even more calories then if I actually had what I wanted....lol
    wow 5lb woosh that's exciting!!
funny that you said I was actually an inspiration to you on the exercise front....nice to know but never would have thought of myself as inspiring to anyone.
Glad that you are getting some relief from the pain and well a side effect of not being hungry is one I would take any day.....would like to avoid the pain part just have the not hungry side effect...lol
better watch it at the casino on the 4th......you may start some gossip about the new woman.....funny if it actually ended up getting back to you that your DH was out with you....lol
Glad that your 203-201 is staying with you this week.....you will be in onderland before you know it.....you have been doing great this challenge.
Dumplin - I hope your having a great visit with your daughter
I like your name that you picked I think you should keep it....it makes me smile when I say it
nothing like writing a food journal to keep accountable for everything that passes our lips isn't it
Wow sounds like a great time at the BBQ even if you were rained out. Awesome job on the 2lb loss....WTG

hiddenstar - wow your walking when the kids are busy is great on the exercise front

Tkkoz - yay your joining us on the ab challenge that's awesome, hope your feeling better and the blahs are just from TOM and not something else.

Leslie - hope your week is going good and that you are somewhat back to normal and in a routine now.

Well if I missed anyone sorry and also a quick hello to the rest of the Blue Team members not listed. I'm off to do my sit ups and I also am doing a leg challenge....if anyone wants it let me know.

    Have a great night everyone

I will wish all of you a HAPPY JULY 4 and hope that you all have a great day tomorrow
  • Wow Jacky, that was a great detailed post, so thorough! I just wanted to come on today and share something I read about NSV's. The 200 mark has been breached! Onederland is highly visible. Have a great 4th of July all. Now - for those NSV's.

The towel fits around you after a shower.
Feeling comfortable in higher heels again.
    No muffin top.
You might catch someone catching a second glance at you.
You walk up a small incline on the way to work with a friend and the friend is winded and you aren't.
The friend takes the elevator and you take the stairs.
Getting a glimpse of yourself unexpectedly in a store mirror and not realizing at first it's you.
Buying and wearing belts of all kinds.
Taking a big box of clothes to a local charity place.*
Realizing some old favorite foods just aren't that great anymore to you and you don't miss them.
Saying, "Yes, I'm a runner." (insert your favorite activity)
Not dreading various gatherings for fear of who you will see, who will see you, what you will wear, etc.
Knowing you are in the minority of Americans who are not overweight.
Knowing people are not judging you by your weight. Whatever it is, it's not about the weight.
Not having your kids fear that they are doomed to your weight fate.
Hopping on the back of a motorcycle when a friend offers you a ride.
    Energy.
Less hip, back, foot, shoulder, etc. pain.
Knowing your aging years can still be healthy and active.*
People asking, "What are you DOING?!" and you say, "Eating right and exercising," and they get a sad look. I don't know why this is an NSV, but it kind of is. Like you finally figured it out.*
Helping people who are ready to eat right and exercise.
Not needing to wear panty hose in summer.
    Buying cute underwear.
Being able to wear ANYTHING in your closet.
Feeling good about yourself on a daily basis, instead of guilty or irritated or disappointed.
  • Independence Day and Onederland all at once!!!! 199!!! Have a great fourth - mine's already made.
  • WOOHOO Dora that's great! Onederland....enjoy:-)

Your list of NSV all allude me but a couple. Seems I'm getting smaller but not any noticeable differences at least not to me.....still have a huge muffin top hence the Bigmid.
  • I'm not totally believing the 199 until it sticks around for a few days, but happy to visit it at least, lol. It also marks the halfway mark for me, so I set my new, New Year's goal for 2014 to 160 which is about 7 lbs a month.

What you said Jacky about always having a muffin top and bat wings applies to me too, but I am still so much happier with the way I look, so it's all worth it. Just wish I had "cooperated" sooner - I'm such a rebellious sort, kind of a cut your nose off to spite your face. You know, "No one's going to tell me how or what to eat." (subconscious speaking of course). I'm a late bloomer I guess

Good luck to all you Blue ladies this weekend, looks like a good weigh in.
  • Congrats Dora!

I am going to be dropping out of the challenge. Vacation is coming up, trying to get ready and I know that I will miss some weigh-ins when we are gone.

Good Luck everyone in your journey and maybe I will catch you during the next challenge.
