  • Quote: Hi ALL I'd like to join you if I may

I've been in the 190's forever

today's weigh in 196.8 ... I'd like to be out of the 190's by 8/5 actually

    ~push myself to eat OP
~push myself to do some movement at least 30 minutes a day 6 days a week
UPDATE on me: I have done the bold parts so far. Hoping I can continue to do well through the weekend. As of today I am .4lbs away from a 10lb loss. I would love to see 185 by Monday but I know that I would have to starve to get there. Have a great weekend everyone. ... weigh in today 187.6

too much to catch up on but I did read a little ...

Carma best of luck with the bedroom set. I say keep it at $2000 and add (or reasonable best offer), just a thought.

Sum way to go with your new budget eating plan

Zumba congrats on the new car

    Heidi great mind set
  • Quote: I'm going to go for less intense due to all the stressors. I think I can hit 210 by August 4th. That's only 7.2 lbs. If I hit that on target I will be all set for 205 by labor day.
    So my goals:
    L ose 1.5lbs a week.
O pen up my mind and meditate 5 minutes a day to goal of 15 minutes
S trength train 30 minutes 3 days a week. MWF.
    E xercise 60 min/day/ Eat 1800calories or less 6 days/week 1 cheat day.

210.8 this morning people and I am going to count it as it still in the 210 realm. I have been doing better on the water intake which always helps me. Overall the goal is a loss though. Blew it on the strength training. Meditation still not there. Missed a lot of exercise too. Now that my Mom's house is empty but the bedroom set I am going to have a lot more time on my hands so feeling pretty good about the next challenge which will be labor day. I am going to shoot for 205 as a realistic goal and dream about Onderland.
Is the next challenge going to have a thread?
  • Sum: good job on the 75 dollars or less. The food all sounded good. Maybe I will look into it. Thanks for recognizing I feel tired. Feeling much better now that I am not running back and forth between 2 houses.

Love: Thanks for the update and glad you found your zone again. Will keep an eye on you in your August thread.

Zumba: Glad to hear your date went well the other night. Also glad your finding your own weight loss ideal. That's why the dieting business makes so much money. Lots of gimmicks for people to try. I am glad I found what works for me and as long as I am true to myself and record everything I will do well. Even on days that I cheat and do bad My fitness pal reminds me of what I will weigh in 5 weeks. That helps me out so much. So if low carb works for you do what works.

Heidi: It must feel so good just working on the bonus pounds. I was pleasantly surprised to see that 210.8 this morning. I was 212.6 yesterday morning and 214.8 a few days before that so hopefully your pleased this morning too.

Susan: Where did you find the piggy bank with the chalkboard paint? Such a great reward system idea. My daughter would love that and my birthday is coming up. I might get one for myself to put in the money for my bracelet I give myself with every 10% body weight loss. I am giving myself a spa day when I hit Onderland.

Aspen & Keli : Hope your still doing well. Haven't heard from you guys in over a week. Hopefully your on a island sipping tropical drinks.

    Jenn, Moon: Where are you????????????

    to anyone I missed.
  • Carma, congrats on meeting your challenge goal!!

Well, I blew it, I am much heavier than at the beginning of the challenge. Oh well it is over and now I will focus on our new challenge.

Last day on eating on budget and we made it! Woohoo! $75 and some stuff left over. I will go and grocery shop my normal way tomorrow. Kids will be happy.

So see you at the Labor Day challenge ladies.
  • Happy Friendship Day my friends!!!
  • Happy Friendship Day, everyone!!

Sorry that the challenge was a bust for so many of us... but hopefully we have each give some thought to what we learned about ourselves and our bodies, and are ready to hit the ground running for Labor Day.

    Congratulations, Carma!

So nice to see you, Love2b, and congratulations to you, too!

It seems like we lost a lot of people on this challenge. Summer is a busy time... Anyway, I'm off to the basement to do my weights. I do think I'm seeing a difference in my shape despite the scale not changing much.

See you on the Labor Day thread!
