Saying goodbye

  • Hi SBD friends!

July 3 will mark 2 years on SBD for me with 35 pounds lost. However, despite such great success, I have to say goodbye. I never feel right, when I am off plan, coming by to "say hello." Those of you who know me from my first foray into SB back in 2005 know I've had some intestinal issues, among others, over the years. Well, yesterday I was diagnosed with sarcodosis and while parts of the anti-inflammatory diet I will now have to follow are similar to SBD (no processed foods, lean meats), some aren't (no whole wheat, juices, sugary fruits, no sugars or sugar subs). I don't feel like I will fit in here any more and don't want to derail anyone else so I am saying "ta ta."

Many of you have become close friends to me. I hope we can stay in touch on Facebook! PM me if you want to friend me and haven't yet

I will be going through a lot of testing to see how severe my case is over the next week weeks so if you have them to spare, some positive vibes sent my way would be appreciated.

    Jenn
  • Oh, I'm so sorry, Jenn. You've had a rough few months! I plan to start after school is out, which is this Saturday, and I'd been looking forward to reading you (and benefitting from your guidance). What you write doesn't seem very off-Beach. We don't HAVE to eat whole wheat and sugary fruits. But of course it's your call. All best in the future! (And congratulations on the 35 pounds.)
  • Goodluck Jenn. I hope all the testing goes well and that you have great success in every aspect of your life.
  • Aww, I'm sad to see you go. I'll leave it up to you whether or not to add me on FB...it's http://www.facebook.com/emt1534. Good luck w/ everything!!!
  • Good luck, Jen! I hope now that you have a definite diagnosis, you can start the process of healing and feeling better. Drop us a line now and then to let us know how you're doing.
  • Best of luck to you, Jenn. You are one of the chicks who was here when I first started and the only chick I've had the pleasure of meeting IRL. Hugs.
  • Aw, Jenne. Please don't be a stranger but pop in once in a while. Wishing you a speedy return to health.
  • Wishing you best of luck, do pop in once in awhile to let us know how you are doing.
  • I'm sure going to miss your regular presence around here! Please check in with us every once in a while to let us know how you're doing and just to say hi. Best wishes with everything and I'll see you on Facebook, too. Take care!
  • thanks all! I appreciate it. It will be hard to switch mindsets (which I will be doing next weekend - in the meantime, I am emotional eating and falling back on SBD) to things like drinking juice and whole grains and not wheats but I will make it.

I started a blog about the journey: http://sarcoidosisjenn.wordpress.com

I am an emotional mess right now with many tests ahead but at least I will finally get some answers. Thanks for all the love right now. I need it!
  • Jenn I read all of your posts in your bog. I am so incredibly sorry you are dealing with this. I signed up for your updates too. Hopefully unemployment will be extended for you or try SOC disability. Keeping positive thoughts for you!!
  • thanks so much for the support all!
  • We love u, J! Keep in touch!
  • Best of luck to you, Jenne!
