ideas to help motivation.

  • I'm gonna put £1 in a pot for every lb lost. Watch the cash mount up

I've also got a pot full with 90 buttons. Each button=1lb. Move the buttons from one pot to another as they go.

Write a list of non food rewards to earn at certain goals.

Anyone got more ideas I could use?
  • You could print off a calendar and put stickers on it when you exercise
  • I made a bracelet from ideas I saw here.

Add 1 small charm for every 5 lbs, add 1 bigger charm for every 10. My bracelet is getting pretty full at this point! It's nothing fancy but it's so special to me.

    Your ideas are great!
  • I love these ideas! I'm the sort of person who likes crossing days off the calendar, so I'll have to give some of these a try
  • Thanks to you all. I like the stickers on the calendar idea as its like a mini reward chart. Maybe a gold star for each day on track.
  • I really like the buttons idea as it's visual without you needing to find actual money to put into the jar...might even nick that and do it myself! Have one jar with a button for every pound I want to lose and then another jar to move each pound lost into... Thanks!
  • I do a bit of volunteering for dog rescue. For each lb I have lost I have bought one item to donate and put it in a box, will donate it when I reach target weight.

  • Mellyymel: my birthday is also may 19! i wanna shift 14 lbs by then for my first main goal. good luck to you.

ive also written a list of mini goals for weight loss and i hope that by breaking it down into smaller chunks it wont be so daunting.
  • YAY for all the May birthdays! Lets try and reach our goals by then! That would be an awesome birthday present to myself.
  • Plan a summer trip, and give yourself a realistic weight loss goal to reach by the time of the trip.
  • These things motivate me to a crazy level:

1-Summer vacation trip (bikini and stuff) lol

2-I'm doing the 5K program, now I'm in week 8 and so proud I made it this far..The beautiful thing about exercising that it makes you feel great in the long run..It boosted my self-esteem and made me feel that I'm capable to do anything..

3-I'm so into fashion and style, so reading fashion blogs, instagrams, pinterest helps me a lot..(You can find tones of motivation accounts on instagram, they are amazing)..

    4-Watching the biggest Loser hahahahaha
I jump into my treadmill right after every episode!
