  • I'm in too. Don't know if I'll ever be bikini ready but I'll be happy with a nice fitting tankini
  • I'm really looking forward to this! The holidays haven't been good to me so far.. I haven't felt this fat and uncomfortable in months!
  • Ok everyone, start entering your starting weight since next week the challenge begins!!

The rules have been posted in the first post of this thread! Take a looksie please =)

Christmas is over, I hope you all had a great time, but it's time to polish off the chocolates and get serious about the summer!

  • I am so excited to start this!!!!
  • Hey everyone! So I'm busy busy at home in England at the moment, but I've made some big decisions about my future in 2013 while I've been relaxing. The first is that I've decided 2013 is the year I reach my goal weight. Just like that. I have 1 full year to lose 20 lbs, I can do this.

The second is that I'm cancelling my membership at the gym. I spend £60/$120 a month on it and I'm just not utilising it enough to justify spending that much money. I would rather spend that money on fresh fruit and vegetables. I will miss Zumba with a passion, but perhaps I can find somewhere to do it for cheaper without joining a gym.

The third is that I'm starting Jillian Michaels' Body Revolution in its place. I hope that it will help me lose weight and tone me up for 2013.

How are you planning on losing the weight next year?
  • I'm going for broke and making my goal 154... the highest end of normal bmi. It's a lofty goal for sure but it gives me a clear goal to look forward to.

For the past month, I've been running after work with the mut and have decided to buy couch to 5k for my ipod as soon as I get to my parents house this afternoon (no wifi at work or home) with the hope that I can run an entire 5k by early March.

We can do this! For once in my life, I have faith that I will not be a fat chick forever!
  • I have Jillian Michaels Body Revolution, but I want to complete the 30DS first. I borrowed the dvds from a friend, so I will need to buy the different weights and resistance thing. I figure they will make a great "reward gift" for completing the 30DS.

I've been d*cking around with my weight (and mostly staying off the wagon) for a couple years now, so its time to bite the bullet and do some damn exercising.
  • yay!!! Count me SO in!!!
  • Riestrella and tinneranne2 good luck with Jillian. I was doing the 30DS however I live in an apartment and all my jumping around got too loud for the neighbours, whoops. So I am currently doing Walk Away the Pounds. It's not as active as I'd like but at least it's something. I'm also doing a pretty basic lifting routine that I found online. My fiance also bought me pedals for xmas so I'm hoping to use those while I watch TV for at least 30 min a night.

I was running in the fall but it got way too cold for me. So once it starts warming up here, I'd like to do that again. I've started the c25k program 4 time but haven't made it past week 4. My goal is to complete it at least once in 2013.

I'm hoping to get to 170 pounds around mid-year and then re-evaluate. As an adult I've never been lower than 188 so I have no idea what a healthy goal weight for me should be.
  • Changergirl - I currently have my yoga mat and weights on the floor...30DS is literally open on my computer for D1...and I'm like "i cant start until I tear apart my house to find my measuring tape" to figure out my measurements. Plus I'm sleepy. Basically, I'm just stalling I'm just going to get some string and measure that so I can get off my butt and start sweating. Luckily I live on the first floor, so my neighbors shouldn't run screaming from the building.
  • I have this lovely string bikini that I cannot wait to put on again at the beginning of summer and be able to tighten it with actual bows! I wore it this past summer, but didn't let anyone take pictures of me wearing it. I want next year to be different
  • Im down.
  • tinneranne2- I hope you did it!! For me the worse part was always the minute before it started as I always built it up to be much worse than it actually was. I always found it went by pretty quickly because you changed activities so frequently. I only did level 1 though, I'm sure the other 2 would have been much worse.
  • I'm in......
Trying to figure this all out but excited I found the site......
