Time to lose some weight!!

  • I've been nursing my son for 17 months now. I didn't really gain weight with pregnancy but I'm about 100 pounds overweight. I want to lose this weight before I'm pregnant again. I've been avoiding aggressive diets because I'm nursing, but I'm getting baby fever. I've started doing Zumba and counting my calories. I'm still maintaining about 1800 calories a day after exercising. It will be a slow process tho...
  • Your goal weight is actually underweight for a person of your height. As a breastfeeding mom I wouldn't shoot for any less than 120... at the lowest. But a slightly higher weight might be your healthiest (130-140)
  • Hi! I've been nursing all my kids back to back with pregnancies for about 7 years now and nursing my 4th who is about 4 months old now. I'm about 50-70# overweight, dependent on which end of the range you look at. I just saw a dietitian and got an overview of how many calories I need per day and how it looks, plus talked about exercising.
