  • Quote: I happily stumbled upon these when DH and I stopped for lunch at Subway. I told him I would still need my drink when we got home, so he walked over to the attached convenience store, when we finished eating. He pulled out Muscle Milk Light, and we checked the stats. Luckily it was a-ok and tasted yummy too! Now have a pack in the fridge. I never would have thought the convenience sore would have protein drinks!
Really? I have only found the Light ones at 711 once and it was a peach/mango flavor that had waaaay too much sugar in it. I just bought a 24pk and costco for $29.99. I have at least one a day, sometimes two!
  • How much weight per month do people average on alternative IP food plans?
  • Sekc14: everyone is so different and it depends how much weight you have to lose. My losses have remained consistent. I have lost 11 lbs since switching to alts about 4 weeks ago.

Tried the Proti-thin Blue Raspberry liquid concentrate yesterday. Only used 8 oz of water and like it just fine.

Tried the Protidiet Chocolate Shake mix with my morning frappe twice now. Once with WF chocolate syrup and once without. Doesn't need the syrup. I think this is a very good replacement for the IP chocolate drink mix.

Really love the Proti-thin BBQ and Chili soy snacks.

I don't know if I posted this already, but I adore the Protidiet Peanut Surprise bar. Reminded me of the IP peanut butter crispy bar. Not sure if that is the right name of the IP bar, but it is close.
  • If you like dark chocolate, I tried the NuGo Slim Brownie Crunch, it had a nice chocolate flavor. GF, no artificial sweeteners. Can use as restricted for Phase 1.
  • I see nuasha has a sale on Snackergy, anyone tried them? They are low in protein but I thought I could eat an egg or something.
  • I just tried the protithin cappucino mix- it's pretty yummy!
  • I'm not having any luck with the search, can anyone tell me how to find EAS Carb Control Products in Canada? I've found some but they are expensive...

Perhaps you can post your question in "the Canada thread" and someone can help with an answer there.

I don't work for either of these companies but have purchased from both. Without posting a direct link, you can try these sites based in Canada....

Does anyone have a good suggestion for a protein powder that I can buy at GNC/WalMart/Target that tastes like the chocolate protein powder drink from IP that doesn't taste chalky???

I did find EAS Lean 15 Chocolate Fudge Protein Powder at Target. DH liked it, but I thought it tasted a little like chocolate flavored powdered milk. I used it in my morning frappe with some WF chocolate syrup and it was a little better. Not as good as IP Chocolate Drink, imho. I now buy the V-Core Vantage Milk Chocolate from Complete Nutrition. It is a bit higher in protein but falls in the alternative guidlelines and is delicious!! The Protidiet Chocolate Shake Mix from Nashua Nutrition is very close to IP's taste wise. I like it a lot.

Oh, I did respond on the daily thread you posted in with some info on Muscle Milk Light too.
  • So, I recently switched to alternatives, and have been looking at all the suggestions here. I placed my order for Nashua nutrition, and went with a variety started pack, plus some other things. Well, booooo! Some of my products contain aspartame! Bummer. How big of a deal is it to use some aspartame products? I don't mean all the time, but just for these few products I have until my next order, where I will pay way more attention!

Also, did you check the nutrition stats for each products to make sure they meet the guidelines to make sure they are comparable to IP protocol? (If you need the stats posted let me know.)

Not all Nashua products meet the standards for IP so each have to be checked.

Yes, one bar in my variety pack is too high in carbs, but all the others are fine, except for the few drinks and puddings that contain aspartame.
So should I just not use the aspartame ones at all? I hate to waste the money. Does anybody know how they are about returning products?
  • Ya'll... that new EAS AdvantEDGE Chocolate Fudge is nasty!!! and of course I just bought a case of them from Sam's yesterday! I'm plugging my nose & chugging and chasing it with water. My stomach hurts trying to drink it so quickly to get the agony overwith I tweeted them to let them know my breakfast is ruined. And i'll definitely be writing a email as well.

Anyone have any alternative RTD shakes I could switch to once I run out of these (or decide I cant stomach them anymore)?
