  • Hello there!

    My name is Amanda (bet you couldn't guess). I'm a 35 y/o SAHM to four boys. I've never had a healthy relationship with food. I started off very underweight (due to just not eating much in general), gained a ton of weight during my first pregnancy, and have struggled with being overweight ever since. I have a good deal of weight to lose. (I'm sure I'll post numbers at some point; I just don't feel up to it today.)

    I have spent the past 15+ years on some sort of diet or plan--or feeling guilty about not following said diet or plan. It's exhausting. I'm ditching that approach. I've recently started going to the gym on a regular basis and have decided that I am going to focus on fitness first. (Recommendations on exercises for beginners very, very welcome! I am specifically researching weight training right now so feel free to leave me some links to resources you find helpful!) I'm not going crazy on the eating--I'm just going to practice portion control on regular food for a month or so while I get my exercise routine down. Then I'll start playing with calories until I figure out a good weight loss range.
