Hungry, Not Really, Just Tense

  • I am writing this post just to keep myself out of the kitchen. I want something but have to save my calories for dinner and my evening snack. So I am keeping busy, until the feeling passes. I have read some great posts from here today.

I am such an addict, I have to laugh at myself though, because I know it will pass. I get so nervous sometimes.

My calorie count is were my doctor has recommended so that is good. But, the mental part and the habit to eat when bored, lonely, tired and so on is the hard part.

So I am going to get busy and rearrange my cluttered living room.
  • Good for you! Staying busy is the best way to beat the cravings!
  • Distraction is key! I too eat when I am bored (and happy, sad, mad, excited, etc) and I try really hard now to do anything but eat when I am 'feeling'. I only want to eat because I need to fuel my body!
  • I think the main reason I gained all of the weight that I did is because I went from being busy all of the time to doing nothing -- keeping yourself distracted is the best way to go! And hey, cleaning burns some calories, too!
