Not enough posts for a ticker, but I reached a mini goal ~

    I haven't been a member long enough to get a ticker (so excited for this, btw) but a mini goal has been reached....I'm out of the 170's! Woo-hoo!

    This is a very big deal for me; it seems like once my body hit the 170's (it was 175, actually...) no matter how hard I tried the scale wouldn't budge. Started to get sort of frantic, as my efforts didn't seem to matter one bit. But I bumped up the cardio, and the changes seen are making me smile

    And, this site makes me smile, too! I really look forward to getting my daily dose of motivation here, thanks!

    Soulpatrol, I'm almost positive the reason I'm FINALLY losing is because of the cardio. Everyday I hop on the eliptical. The first few days was only 20 minutes. Then I bumped it up to 30 min, with a minimum of 300 calories burned. Just today, it was 35 minutes. The rule is that once I hit a specific time, I can't do less than that amount the next day. Also, I work out in the morning, this gives me motivation for the rest of the day and feels great. Soon I hope to be like many on this site who do an hour a day. Ladies, I salute you! This seems like a huge goal but I'm working towards it!

    I occasionally will have a slim fast for lunch. Tried this years ago but couldn't get past the taste. I don't know if they've changed the flavor but it's much better and really does keep me full for at least three hours, usually four.

    I don't really have a "secret"....just going through one of those times in my life where the motivation is very high. I don't question this, believe me! I just act on it. And I don't weigh every single day. Too easy to get frustrated with normal weight fluctuations.

    Every day is a fresh start, thankfully
