  • BOO!!!!

Where did September go? Welcome to October!

This is a great day to make progress with our healthy choices--new week, new month. Have a great day, week, month, everyone!!
  • Good morning--Sandra, you beat me to the post.

I just heard from a friend who lost 15 pounds in 2 months simply by cutting sugar and carbs, and eating good food the rest of the time. I really wished that doing only that worked for me. Oh well, keep on doing the right thing.
  • Good Morning Chicks! Happy October. I think cutting out carbs and sugar would help me a lot. I wish I was willing to make that commitment.

Lots to do today. Gotta make my applesauce and work on my budget. Can you believe after being up since 3:15 with no nap yesterday that I still wasn't ready to go to bed at 11:15? I was up until 12:30 last night. At least I slept until 9:30. Thank God for retirement.

I will be eating all Core today.
  • I don't eat sugar and not many high carbs, so what can I do to lose a few pounds, other than starve myself?

Why does it have to be so hard?
  • Pam...I guess the answer is exercise. It's my biggest problem right now.
  • Our company just left. We had a wonderful visit. They are flying to Montana this Friday. We're going in June, but I'm still jealous.

Let's just keep doing what we know to do that works best for each of us. That's about all we can do. Good success to each of us!
  • Had a wonderful 2 day trip to see a good friend who is about to have her first grandchild by her youngest son..We had a baby shower and worked on the nursery last night. Helped the mom to be sort clothes and stuff. Baby boy is due at the end of Nov..

News is that there is an offer coming ..Also considering buying the house I looked at.. Its weird , on the exact same day I am listing questions for owner about house I may buy and I am getting a list of questions from people looking at this house..I have been praying for peace but also prayed for 1 move if possible (instead of moving into temporary place) we shall see !!!

The house I like is at 2808 Hiking Trail, Raleigh, NC ..If you type that into a google search you can see the pictures..

I ate terrible all weekend. Nerves I guess...
  • Nancy, if adorable is a good word for describing a home then that's what I want to say, "Adorable!"
  • Puts our problems into perspective:

  • Nancy, love the house. Looks perfect for you. Hope you get an offer on your house.

Vickie, I don't like your answer.
  • Nancy, the house is great. I hope you get all that you want.
  • Thanks everyone..The street the house is on is busy with walkers on the sidewalk .. I am imagining lemonade or wine on the front porch in the afternoon with friends stopping by ...Its one block from the pool & playground..

I got the offer to buy today and we are countering & counter-countering today...We are close !!
I like the negotiating part, so I am relaxed right now..
Actually have a showing at 5:45..so I am busy cleaning the pool..

Vickie..I agree with Pam..can you do some research & find a better answer please
  • Nancy, let us know. Lemonade and wine with friends on the porch sounds good to me.

Day 1 or 4 days subbing this week is complete. The kids are wonderful. Hope they stay that way.
  • We sent my final counter offer to buyers tonight at 7 ..We are not far apart and my final offer meets in the middle ..I will hear tomorrow.

The house I like is overpriced for that neighborhood and square footage.
So after i have a signed contract on my house we will make an offer for
what the price should be . I think they may not come down and if I pay their price I won't be able to resell if needed..So unless I get that house I will do an apartment for now..
  • Good luck Nancy.

I had a good workout yesterday...mostly upper body--3 sets of 10 bench presses at 65 pounds...that is 30 X 65! do the math! I also went swimming. Sore today, but still did some yard work.

And, best of all--no pain medication last night.
