....you lie about your weight, and your fake weight is still in the obese category! (if I said anything less it wouldn't be "believable")
The story is that my husband's good friend is an insurance salesman. He talked my husband into buying a new policy for me in case of my untimely exit. In order to qualify for the policy he had to come over to the house and ask me a few health related questions - including my weight! Needless to say, I was highly embarrassed, as I was just under 200lbs at the time. I knew that his company would send out a nurse to do a basic exam (including weight) and ask health questions, but I didn't know that he would be privy to the information, much less be the one asking the questions! Flustered, I blurted out that I was at 180lbs, but on a diet and continuing to lose weight. Unfortunately, even my fake weight put me in the obese category! He took down all the information and said that I needed to call to make an appointment with the nurse who would come to do blood work, blood pressure, urine test, and weight on a scale. I never made the appointment ! I was too embarrassed for him to see my true weight and that I'd lied. When he called to follow up, I just said that I didn't think I would qualify for a good rate with my current health conditions. Actually, he recently called again to see if I was interested in applying now (he saw me at a party) and I said no. I'm still embarrassed to tell someone I know what my weight is - especially a man!
Any of you have any moments like this?
