When do you have your snack?

  • I was talking to my coach this evening and I happened to mention I have my snack anywhere from 9-10pm and she told me I shouldn't be eating after 8pm. When do you have your snack? I know my mother who is on the plan has hers in the afternoon but 9-10pm works best for me because that is when my husband gets home and we watch some tv together and instead of my old habit of munching on crap I eat my IP snack.
  • I usually have it between 9 and 10. My coach said don't worry about the eating after 8, that doesn't work for everyone. You can see I still lost. Just say ok to the coach and do what works for you.
  • I was told to have an IP snack approx. an hour before I go to bed.
  • I usually have mine in the afternoon because we eat dinner late (between 7 & 8).
  • I have mine between 8-9.
  • whenever possible between 3 and 4 pm with a cup of coffee, and then I have a shake before I go to bed...
  • Honestly, usually around 11pm. I work part time in the evenings so I get home late and end up not being able to fall asleep for a while. When I discussed this with my coach, she said she didn't care when I had it, as long as I had it. She basically told me to adjust the program to my schedule.
  • I eat mine right before 8 pm.
  • My coach said I should have mine about an hour before bed. Basically, I should be eating about every 4 hours during the day and this is like my "cushion" during the hours I'm sleeping (&thereore not eating)
  • Approx 1 hour before bed usually around 10:30 at night. Thats my last 10 ounces water for the day also. For me snack is always an EAS locarb 100 cal shake.

  • Right now, I have my snack an hour before bed, somewhere between 9 and 10 p.m. because my summer schedule allows me to eat every 4 hours which is my clinic's recommendation. However, when I go back to school, I won't get out of my classroom until around 5 or 6, with dinner around 7 or 8, so my coach will have me go back to a 4 p.m. snack. My clinic is all about timing the meals/snacks so you don't go more than 5 hours (preferrably 4) without eating something.
  • I have mine in the evening anywhere between 7pm and 8:30pm.
  • I usually need it during the day, sometimes before lunch if I ate an early breakfast, not the case today, just ate. Or around three in the afternoon, that is when I am HUNGRY! I usually don't eat after dinner anymore, I'm just not hungry which is a big change for me. Not that I was always hungry but I'd get bored and just eat.
  • I have my snack around 8:00 each night (I go to bed at 9:00) need the extra boost of protein for the next morning since I get up at 0430 to get ready to go to work , get to work between 0600 and 0630 and don't have my breakfast until I get settled in my office.
  • My coach actually suggested I eat my snack between 8 and 9. I usually stay up with my husband and watch tv after the kids go to bed so I have mine around 9. I have been away from home and not been able to eat it until 10 a few nights.
