  • I've been in and out of this forum so many times it is cray-cray! I hope you aren't rolling your eyes! I have to say though there is a reason I keep coming back...I know what a strong group you are and I know SBD works. I even have the NEW book this time. I can't wait to jump in!

Since last June I have lost 60 pounds (well, it was 65 but I'm up a bit). And I have been stuck at this plateau for a while now. I need to break through! I am READY! My 40th birthday is in July...I need to get back on the train! I want to feel healthy and peaceful and in control again.

I gotta run -- off to a 5:45 AM body pump class at the gym!
  • back, Lauren. I'll join you on the train as I'm up too. Time to change the S/C/G in my profile and maybe even re-instate the ticker.
  • Back, Lauren!
  • Welcome back.
  • ... and why would we judge? We've all been there. I believe The Princesses of Perfection have left the building.
  • Welcome back!
  • Welcome and Ruth your reply is perfect!!! Lauren you did a great job maintaining your loss, so think of it as you were in P3. That is a great accomplishment in my eyes. Hey and club 40 is pretty cool, I joined in September. I honestly look and feel better than I did in my 20's
  • Welcome back Lauren!!!
  • Ruth - I loved your response! And - Welcome Back Lauren. I'm back after being away for 2 years!
  • Lauren, I've been back and forth too. We can do this! I'll add my kudos to Ruth for your Princess of Perfection comment!
  • Welcome Back Lauren! You've done an amazing job already. KEEP GOING!!!
  • THANKS SO MUCH ladies. You are THE BEST! I think sometimes I expect MYSELF to be a Princes of Perfection. Ya know? I am thrilled to be here and just finished my chlcken stir fry dinner. I KNOW we can all do this thing! I am ready!

And glad to hear 40 isn't all that bad!
  • you are doing great, no one will judge you, maybe they would say "wow look at her 60 # down already doesn't she look great"
keep it up, we have all been there, best of luck to you, and congratulations on your weight loss xx
  • Hey Lauren - just so you don't fear looking forward....the fifties are actually kind of fun!
A 60 pound loss in a year is stellar! Congratulations on that, and congrats on moving forward!
    Cate
  • Thanks, everyone!

CatMat -- I don't mind aging so much as long as I'm healthy, right!? As another poster mentioned, I hope to be in better shape in my 40s then in my 30s! I guess I am finally getting to the age where I realize I am not indestructable. I am not sure why it took me so long to come to that, though?
