Hello

  • Hello, I am new to the site. I have had pcos and endo for over 10 years. I cried when I found out. I was 19, newly married and told I would never have kids. DH and I have tried everything, surgery, meds, iui, ivf all with no success. The depression hit hard 2 years ago and I started to binge. Between that and all the pills I was taking I gained, and gained and gained. I am now at my highest weight and lowest point in my life. I decided to take charge and do something with my life about 5 months ago. I tried Atkins and it did nothing, I tried ww before and it didn't work. I just signed up for ideal protein last week and in 4 days I have lost 5 pounds. I was taking a low dose of metformin (can't handle the stuff) and I quit taking it. I am wondering if I took it, even a low dose, if it will help speed up my weight loss.

I am glad there is a forum that i can relate to. Good luck ladies!
  • Hello and welcome, kmc. I don't have pcos but did have endo (I had surgery in December--not clear yet whether endo will come back or not).

I wish you the best of luck on your weight loss journey!

  • I remember crying/anger stuff when I finally got my dx so I can relate! But good for you for taking charge! You may have PCOS, but it doesn't have to have YOU!
