Hmmm...maybe my TOM works differently, it seems it makes my weight go down instead of up . Not looking forward to the after effects of TOM being gone then if that is the case . I didn't exercise today was too busy too even try to squeeze it in today . I had the regular schedule plus I had to run my son to the doctor, more errands, and the come back to the house and study more, take the test, and finally do the rest of my homework.

love2b150 - Thank you on both counts I hope the vibes will help me on the test score . Now, I need weight staying vibes for after my TOM . Yes, yes those oh so delicious but dreaded doughnuts are .

  • We could make the thread name tax-related. (blergh)
    or something about april fool's
or easter, but not everyone celebrates so maybe not.

    something about accountability in april

  • Good Morning, Everyone!

    Calories for yesterday: 1520 +
    Weigh In: 147.2
    Down: .2

Kris Hi It's good to see you.

Heather A loss is a loss! They all add up! Congrats!

Justaloozer Keep working your plan. Your muscles could be holding onto water weight, it could be a daily fluctuation, sodium, or hormones.

QT Congrats on the .4 and have a safe trip!

Mags Don't forget about the overall down ward trend. That's all that matters. You are doing a great job!

Suzukigurl I hope you see the 230's this morning! I had a hard time with the 230's for some reason. I felt like I couldn't get out of them, no matter how hard I tried. There are certain weights that we all struggle with. Another was getting below and staying below 200. That was another hard one. Keep up the great work! You have had a fantastic month!

AKA Sorry about the insomnia! I hope you could sleep in this morning.

    Akelly Hi

Kifli Congrats on finding an exercise program that you like! I love Turbo Fire. It's similar to the gym program Turbo Kick.

Angie Congrats on the 1.2 pounds. I think the biggest part of losing weight is mental. I'm glad you were able to get an appointment with the Dr. I know you and Cameron will enjoy the bike rides! Great exercise!

Rennie I hope you have a great weekend! I saw your post about Chelle still being in NC. Just sending some positive energy her way.

Jinxy Whatever it is, the scale is down! Own it baby!
  • Good Morning All!
Thanks for all your encouraging words however it seems to have gotten worse today! I'm up 1lb today. It's hard not to get frustrated when you're doing everything right and yet you are gaining but I just have to have faith that my body is just retaining from TOM. It's nearly gone so hopefully things will get back to normal soon!

    Julie: Congrats on hitting 240

Angie: Congrats on the 1.2lbs down

Diana: I'm so sorry to hear your mom is going through that

Jinxy: WTG on the big losses this week, especially with TOM

I hope everyone has a great Saturday!

  • 213 today! What a way to end the month.

    Happy weekend, all!
  • Hi all! I'm down 2.4 today so thankfully that puts me less than where I started the month by about .8 -- lol -- I'll take it! Today is very on track so far, and I've got dinner mapped out so maybe I'll get one more whoosh tomorrow -- I'm so greedy.

Rennie -- Good job on the .2 -- maybe the spaghetti won't have done too much damage; you can always make it up today anyway. I see your bday is coming up, so I'm going to encourage you to be extra good so that you can indulge a little more that day You're right, that is not a flattering picture, but really, who looks great lounging on the couch? I have to be standing up straight so that everything evens out a bit before I'll keep a picture...lol. I have many like that -- Cameron takes them when I'm not ready. I started to be offended when the girl on my team moved the cookies, but we are pretty close, and I know she's trying to help me, so in a way it was actually a little bit brave of her to do that. I decided I need that more than I need people telling me it's okay to have one more, even if I don't particularly like it at the time.

Diana -- I remember my grandfather liking grapes a lot when he was going through chemo -- I think he liked a lot more fruit than usual. What are you finding your mom does like? Cameron has never been into riding a bike before so I'm hoping it sticks this time. I used to love riding mine when I was young and I think I could get back into it with him pretty easily.

    Jinxy -- Nice whoosh, congrats!!

Amanda -- The new thread is up now 'no fooling the scale in April...' Sheesh, get some sleep...up at 3:24 lol

Mags89 -- It is frustrating to not lose when you are making great choices, but just remember weight loss is not linear, sometimes it takes a bit to catch up, so you could be rewarded in a day or two. Hang in there.

ETA - I was posting to say that I missed Carter and thought she would be back by now, but I see she checked in earlier in the month. Hope you pop in again Carter, I'd love to hear how India changed your perspective.
  • Congrats to everyone who started this month heavier than you are ending it, and those who wanted to maintain and did!

My total loss for March is 4lbs. That is nowhere near what I could really have done. I am joining the April thread and will hopefully do better in April!
  • Hi, everybody! I'm still here... Life's been busy. I keep reading the new posts, with the intention of posting, but something always pulls me away before I do!

I was 191.2 this morning, a pound up from my all time low earlier this month. Not bad.

I desperately need a break from all this, and am figuring out how to go about it. Giving up isn't an option, so I'm looking for a new perspective. I've decided to stop counting calories consumed for awhile, and focus on calories burned.
  • Mags Hi I'm sure it's from TTOM. That's not much of a gain for that time. Hang in there!

Heather Congrats on your 70 pound weight loss!

Angie Congrats on the 2.4 pounds! My Mom is having a couple issues right now. Her mouth/throat got blisters in it, so she couldn't eat. She got a prescription mouth rinse. That has helped with the blisters. Now she is having issues with everything tasting too salty. I have been asking her everyday if she is taking her anti nausea medicine. Today she came to the house ready to eat. I made breakfast foods for her. This is what she requested. She took a couple bites and started feeling sick. I asked her if she took the anti nausea medicine and she replied no. I asked her where he meds were and she said they were at home. None of this makes any sense to me and really upsets me. I got her a ginger ale and she was able to get that down. I reiterated to her several times that she needs to take the anti nausea meds so she could eat. I understand about her not bothering with it when the blisters were at their worse. Sorry about the rant. It just makes me upset that she acts so nonchalant about this stuff. Also, when the Dr. and nurses were going over everything a couple weeks ago, she was ready to get out of there. I had my note pad out, taking notes. Then I put everything in a word document, day by day about everything she had to do/take. I printed it out so she would know exactly what to do everyday. I asked her if she was having any issues with neuropathy today. She asked what that was. The medical staff had already explained all of that, but she didn't pay any attention. Also, my Dad had that when he took chemo treatments. She just didn't realize it. Anyways, again, sorry about the rant. This is serious stuff and it's nothing to play with. I tried not to get upset with her tonight, because I know that doesn't fix anything. I just tried to let her know that it's important for her to take the anti nausea meds so she can eat. Oh, yea, I threatened to move in with her or move her in with me. That should make her take her meds.

Justaloozer Congrats on the 4 pounds! That is nothing to sneeze at!

    Salley Hi
