Hi, I was just wondering if anyone here had breast implants (not a lift) for drooping breasts that has lost volume? I'm just waiting for an appointment to see the breast clinic to see what they say before a referral to a plastic surgeon and would like to hear from anyone about their experiences.

Depends on how droopy. I have deflated boobs from 3 pregnancies and the weight loss. I had quite a few consults and got various suggestions but I'm going to have the augmentation without the lift. I don't want the extra incisions and scars.

I'm getting a benelli lift with implants next month. However, I wouldn't say I have drooping breast. They have lost quite a bit of volume though. The minor lift I'm doing is more so to correct some minor asymmetry I have. I will gladly let you know how everything goes once I'm in recovery if you're still interested

Yes please I'd love to hear everything... mine have just shrunk A LOT and the skin has lost elasticity.. I have very little fat on my chest so I'm hoping it will just be implants for me.. I have an appointment late March for a breast surgeon to take a look at them

I have had 2 breast augs. LUCKILY I didn't have much in the way of droop, they were just very empty B cups.

Be careful using implants to fill out and avoid a lift. You will very fast end up with the 'rock in a sock' look... fast meaning as soon as a year or less after surgery.

In order to 'fill out' a droopy boob you will probably need to go with over the muscle. At the point there is NOTHING holding that implant but your skin. For you to have droopy boobs already, we know you skin is prone to stretching. If you go under the muscle with a droopy boob then you risk a complication called 'double bubble', where basically your 'old' boob sits and droops off the top of the implant.. not pretty.

My advice would be to look for a surgeon who is amazing with incisions and scars. I am only 6 weeks post op from my last surgery and I have a 3inch scar under my crease that is barely visible. To the point where I have to squint to see it and point so my husband can see it. Any decent surgeon should have many pics you can look at of previous lifts that he has done.. check out the scarring. You will be surprised.

IF you decide to fill out a droopy boob without a lift all you are doing is putting it off because all you will do is make the problem worse. There are MANY kinds of lifts that can be done where scars are minimal.

I have a question - how did you get to the surgeon in the first place? I have no idea how to get a referral - I assume I go to my GP and he refers me but I've only seen him once and it was very awkward due to a miscommunication with his office. What do I say? How should I broach the subject? If I see another practitioner who hasn't met me?

You get online and find several surgeons in your area. Then you check their board certifications, then go and consult with them all. Look at their before and after pics, get their opinion of what you need done, get the cost.

Then you decide which one you feel the best about and go from there!

You GP is not going to be of any help.

justbreastimplants.com is a GREAT message board with lots of info and contact info for surgeons. They also have a section on the message board where you can ask surgeons questions. VERY helpful!

Hi again, so I had the appointment and by all accounts, I have an empty b cups too that can be filled out with implants.. I have also seen a psychiatrist who will support me for implants done on the nhs due to the psychological problems my breasts are causing me.. fingers crossed
