My First 30lb Gone!

  • Great way to start my morning scale was at 260! I had tried starting my diet back in Oct 2010 but gave up because I just wasn't getting anywhere with it. I started up again in March 2011 cutting out fatty foods and sodas. Had a lot of improvement in the food department but not the weight department. I did lose almost 30lb from March to October it was slow and Im sure it was because some days I was still over eating. Over the holidays I quit my diet and gained about 10lb back.

For the first time in a few years my DH and I had a really great Christmas and New Years. We were able to enter the new year debt free for the first time in about 7 years. It felt great and that set the mood for me to finally get myself mentally and physically healthy.

So we started full force in Jan calorie counting and exercising for 30min a day at least 5 times a week. Ive dropped close to 10lb this month. I realize it doesn't always come off that fast but Ill take whatever my body decide to give me!

Just wanted to share the happy news with you all, the members here at 3FC have helped keep me motivated just realizing there are real people out there struggling daily and have gone through/going through the same thing I am.

I dont have any pictures right now. Plus the outside of my body isn't showing it as well as the inside of my body feels just yet, but Ill be sure to post some when I hit my next mini goal which is the 50lb mark.
  • Way to stick with it! Congrats!
  • That's awesome! Congrats both on your weight loss but also on entering the new year debt free!!! I started yesterday (again), and it was pretty hard for me to do 30 minutes of Cardio at the gym, but I am glad I stuck with it! I already have more energy this morning, which I think is a result of better food choices yesterday.

My husband and I are also trying to clean up some debt as well, so I can understand what a stress that can be. It's great that you don't have to worry about that anymore!!
  • i have started over many times...congrats on your weight loss, keep going!
  • Thats awesome. Good job.
  • Congratulations! I've had so many false starts I can't even counts them, but I'm back on the horse again now. You've got to keep trying, no matter what. Good job, and keep up the good work!
  • Great JOB! keep up that hard work that earned a 10- pound loss
