Hi everyone. I joined 3FC about 3 months ago but didn't introduce myself so here goes. I am 46 and have 4 grown children and 3 granddaughters. My average weight has always been from 135-140 lbs. except during my pregnancies. Occasionally I have gone up to about 150 which is where I am now. Two years ago I was at about 125 and have since put on weight. I like to work out but my problem is boredom eating which I can't seem to overcome. I also lose all motivation to work out in the winter which I think is partly due to SAD. I have never been diagnosed with it but have all the symptoms from late fall until spring. I would love to lose about 15-20 pounds so hopefully with the help of these forums I can get the motivation to get started.

Panzees, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the 40-somethings.
