  • to weigh less than their husband/significant other?

I don't know why this is so important to me. When I met him, I weighed less than him and I want to have that back.

I am the same height as he is so I don't want to look like the bigger person. I am so silly, I know.
  • Not silly at all! I want the same thing! I'm only an inch or so shorter than my bf but I want to look tiny beside him. I think it's natural to think that way.
  • Yup! I can't wait until I weigh less that he does. My DH is naturally skinny and has never struggled with weight. We've been married for 35 years and over the course of our marriage he has gained 30 lbs and now weighs a whopping 165 lbs! He's just now beginning to "wish" that he could lose a few lbs. He is 4" taller than me too, so the fact that I weigh more than him really bugs me.

I will definitely do a happy dance the day I reach this goal! Then, I will continue on my journey because I will still have a lot more weight to lose.
  • Sigh* I've resigned myself to realizing I'll never weigh less then my SO...I just want to weigh in the vicinity. I have a large frame and am very hippy. My SO hopped on the scale the other day and was down to 145. (he's 5'11, I'm 5'5) I'll be happy when I weigh 150!
  • Well, it isn't a goal, but I wouldn't mind being less than my spouse! He's like 6 inches taller than me!

    A.
  • I would love to weigh less than my husband! It would be nice if I didn't feel like I would hurt him every time he tries to pick me up. (Is he crazy?!)
  • A couple of months back I achieved weight which was less than my DW's weight. She is even shorter than I am. I did not say anything to her about reaching this because it would hurt her feelings and I will not intentionally do that to her. This is the first time ever that I weighed less than her and the gap between our weights is increasing because she is eating more at a maintenance level while I am still losing.

  • I hated weighing the same amount as my boyfriend, there was something about it that just seemed "bad" in my mind. It meant so much to me when I finally weighed 10lbs less then he did, now its progressed to being 30lbs less then he is! It feels so amazing!
  • I really wanted to weigh less than my fiance. He's 6'3" and weighed less than me for a good portion of our relationship.

Somehow he could still pick me up! He's a really strong guy!

Now I weigh a lot less than him I love it. He can also pick me up a lot easier now...but likes to mention that he could pick me up fine before I guess it's an ego thing?
  • i have to goal to be at least 40 lbs lees than him, but 50 would be best lol. He's 5'8" and 162, so i need to be at least between 112 and 122.
  • Definitely. When I met DH I weighed about 10 lbs less than him...he can't seem to get any higher than 155 (he's 5'10") so hopefully I get lower than him within the next couple of months...fingers crossed!
  • I just passed this goal and it was absolutely exciting! Plus I feel better being on top ifyaknowwhatImean
  • I'm with ya. I hate the feeling that I weigh more than him especially since I'm only 5'4" and he is 6'. It will definitely be one of my small victories on the way to my goal weight.
  • I'd love for this to happen, but it never will. My significant other is under 135 lbs. at 6'. I'll never weigh less than he does inch for inch.
  • I would love to weigh less than my husband. He is 6'1" 140-145 lbs. He is naturally very thin. When we first got married he weighed 150 and ate a sausage egg McMuffin, a half gallon of OJ, one or two boxes of mac and cheese and an entire Little Caesar's pizza almost every day. As soon as he started eating my homemade healthy meals, he dropped 10 lbs. His entire family is thin, so now I'm the "fat" one in the family, I had always been the "thin" one in my family, so it is a hard pill to swallow. Sometimes I really hate them...jk
