Hiya, folks!

  • Hi, my name's Eithne.


    I'm a fifteen year old from West Virginia in the US. I love The Kills and basically any band with Jack White in it, classical music, and world music, debating politics with my friends, am an atheist advocate for religious freedom and openmindedness, am a huge fan of Vogue magazine, and I tend to have a 4.0 gradecard more often than not. Yeah, I'm a bit different, haha.


    So, the reason I'm here.


    Last year, I weighed the least I ever have. I ran track for my school, and could run a full mile with relative ease. I lost twenty pounds in the first two months of high school, and by the end of the school year, I weighed thirty pounds less than I originally had, which was still ten pounds above my weight loss goal of 145 pounds -- I'm quite tall, and I don't fancy being model-thin. However, this summer, I started going back up, and I gained back ten pounds of what I lost.


    Since the beginning of the school year, I've struggled with dieting and exercise to lose what I gained back, and also the ten pounds that I never managed to lose in the first place. I've managed to drop up to ten pounds from time to time, but it just goes right back up, mainly because I have no support from my parents, who I must admit have pretty bad eating habits themselves.


    I joined this site hoping I could get the support I needed from a forum, as I've found much support from other forums due to other problems in the past, and I've come to trust somewhat in the powers of internet communities.
