  • I just did the 30 Day Shred, and I know I did it before back when I was still in the 220s...thought it was in this challenge, but when I looked I didn't see it. I was pretty excited about doing it today. Last time I couldn't even do the freaking jumping jacks! I have NEVER been that out of shape in my LIFE!! Today, I was able to get through all of the moves with no problem (well, for the most part ) Definitely a big NSV for me! I cannot wait to get back into the shape I was in during my senior year of college...and then to be better than that!! How are you gals hanging in there?
  • noelle - Yaay, that's amazing! I love it when you know how you've improved with fitness. I remember when I was running a lot and I would compare my times and it was crazy how much faster I had gotten! When I first started I could barely jog but at my peak I was actually running!

I did Insanity again yesterday, reaaallly was going to make an excuse but I did it! Phase 2 is so stupidly hard, sometimes I feel like I slack a bit too much because it's hard to motivate myself on my own you know? But I do build up a sweat so that's what counts. It's my period this week, so I know any work I do might not appear to be working...but I gotta stay consistent!
  • That's how I feel...I am going to be on my period either this week or next...not sure because my bc prescription ran out, and that is how I keep track :/ Gotta get back on that asap, cuz that is how I ended up with my twins!! LOL! I can tell it's coming by the way I feel...plus the steroid I am on for my skin apparently has the side effect of water retention, which is just great. I don't feel TOO bloated though, so I am just trying to get through it, and hope that I see a difference when TOM is gone, and my meds are done.

Insanity looks ridiculously hard. I saw an infomercial for it one time, and I wanted it so I could get the free shirt, hahaha. I would probably die if I tried it. I about died just doing the first day of the 30DS. I just keep telling myself "You want your body back, and you want it better than before!!"

Oop! Better be careful with getting preggers again haha! Insanity is, I'm not going to lie, really hard. I did 30DS for about 3 months and once I started getting used to it I felt like I needed more of a challenge. So I started running, which was incredible, but then the weather got bad so I had to find a home workout that was going to make me sweat just as much as running. Insanity is that!
But honestly, I think it looks harder than it is. I do think you should have a decent level of fitness before you start, for me I had run a 10k and I found Insanity hard to begin with. But I know other people started off without really doing much at all. After all, those people on the Biggest Loser pretty much get thrown into madness too!

It's a great workout, I'm really enjoying it, even though sometimes I feel like turning it off haha!
  • Hey Ladies, almost down to the final wire now, how are we all doing? i for one am looking forward to the next 90day challenge .. at least there will be no x.mas in the midde
  • same here, i'm definately doing the second challenge

I did well and met my goal, most importantly, i've finished my weight-lifting challenge so, from next week on i'm starting with my 10k preparations
  • I'm still going! I've done 31 workouts so far, which is by far the worse I've ever done in one of these challenges! But I've lost 8 lbs which is still good I think, only 4 lbs away from my goal for this challenge so at least I got close!

Kariatari hasn't posted since November...if she hasn't resurfaced I hope she won't mind me posting a new thread up to start the next challenge! I love these challenges!
  • Ladies, today is the last day of our challenge!
    How is everybody doing?
I must say I'm feeling great, I've met my goal and set it higher for the next challenge I didn't lose weight, but gained 2 pounds - I'm glad my measurments are slightly smaller, so I guess (and hope!) I've gained muscle. yay! For the next challenge, I'll be focusing on running (tho I won't be able to run in the first week because I'm taking care of my ill dog and can only use my home eliptical) to burn those fat cells for once and for all!
  • I can't find my measuring tape Buuuut, I feel like I have slimmed down pretty decently! Lost some weight for sure. I had a few issues with my eczema that REALLY held me back, but I went out and got a gym membership tonight and did 45 minutes on the elliptical to finish off the challenge BRING ON THE NEXT ONE!!
