Yesterday I hit an amazing milestone. 50 POUNDS! GONE!
It seems so surreal to me; I never in a million years thought I would get down to this weight. I've been overweight/obese since I was a little girl and I just thought I would always be that way for the rest of my life.
It's funny, stepping on the scale and seeing 150 and remembering that not that long ago it said 200. In high school it probably would have said more if I had the guts to weigh myself. It's also surreal slipping into size 6s and 8s when I remember scoffing at those sizes as "teeny tiny." It blows my mind trying on my favorite size 16 jeans from just a few months ago and they're FALLING OFF.
I learned to love myself and that's what really helped me lose the weight. I wish I could go back to my middle school self and let her know that she should LOVE HERSELF for who she is
I also want to thank all of you here at 3FC. I joined here when I had already lost 30 and because of the support and advice, I've lost another 20. Those challenges also keep me on track and I love participating them. I'm definitely looking forward to losing my last 20 and know it's possible with all of the support that you all give here
I think the only downside to all of this is that I literally have about 5 things in my closet that I can wear. Luckily I can get away with some of my old clothes, but I still have about 15 days until my paycheck comes....then it's time for a shopping spree!
