Smile I am New Again....:(

Well -- I used this site to help me a few years ago --I lost 88 pounds ...and then I don't know why I stopped. I couldn't find time or energy for the gym and started fast food and junk again...well I am back in every way. I am back here for support and understanding from people who face the same challenges and struggles. I have been back to working out only 3 days so far but I am looking forward....Thanks for being here. The support makes a difference

Welcome back! Sometimes starting the journey again can be very frustrating, but you can do it!

So many of us lose and gain weight again and again. I've been at a comfortable weight - both for mind and body- at least 3 times before. Well, here I am again. This time, I joined a weight loss support group. TOPS. They are very low-key and inexpensive. Even though I have already reached my goal weight (again), I am still attending weekly meetings. Because I hope this will make the difference. I can see that weigh-in coming a week away, so I am vigilant about reining in my natural impulses to way over-eat. And make a fun habit of exercise. Who doesn't like dancing? Talk about walking being the do anywhere exercise, how about the moves you can make in your own livingroom?
Keep your eye on your goal line. Then have a plan for what you're going to do once you get there. Don't give up!

Thanks...I will look up TOPS -- I really hope this time I keep it off- I remember how much better I felt and looked...I cried the first time I shopped in the regular department and now I am back in the Womans Plus area...But I am back and focusing on success....

Thanks for the encouragement

TOPS--Taking Off Pounds Sensibly. I was a part of a TOPS group awhile back. Our local group consisted of mostly senior citizens. While I enjoy spending time with them, I was unable to relate to them and didn't really connect. Made it hard to commit. But the program itself was good. Ours let us work whatever program we wanted as long as it was sensible. I enjoyed the weekly recognition for weight loss. It was more personal than WW had been for me.

Welcome to the journey! I hope you find this a warm place to settle in.

Lisa
