Last night when I was making the strawberry pudding "cake" the "batter" was absolutely amazing so I just want to eat it and not bake it. Do raw egg whites make you sick. Sorry if this is a stupid question!

I lick the bowl and spoon every time I make pudding cakes and haven't had a problem with it. As to eating the whole bowl??? Couldn't say, but I definitely agree that it is so good!

If you buy your egg whites in a carton, I believe they are pasteurized (don't quote me though) Most discourage eating raw eggs anymore, because of bacteria.

If you don't mind playing Russian roulette with raw egg whites and samonella, eat it. You could become very, very sick.

I agree with Quilter. Not a chance I am willing to take with salmonella. I knew someone who ended up on the hospital with it.
