Good Saturday morning. I even managed to sleep in until 6:30 so I guess I'm caught up. I did have a refreshing ½ hour sleep yesterday afternoon that took the edge off my crabbies. I decided not to take the finished report to the accountant until Monday which helped the crabbies too.
Debbie, you sound like a Berber woman, with the constant moving and trekking over the hill. I assume the "hill" is the continental divide. I hope Rudi has a comfortable weekend.
Heidi, I sympathize with you in clearing out old tapes! My dear departed Harry had a jazz collection (on vinyl) that went back to the 40's! Luckily I was able to sell them to a collector. I also have several VHS movies, including The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Cyndi, so sorry about Julie's vision woes. That must be scary. I gather the orioles are not on SBD.
What kind of jelly are they into? (Note to Self: Make some
strawberry jam for the Christmas baskets.) Thanks for the grill reminder - both my propane danks are empty so I'm not able to grill tonight. Refills are on my list.
Our book club at the Lake was such fun despite the blasted mosquitos. We were out on the deck watching the kids swim down at the dock and the skeeters thought we were a buffet. It was a great evening though and there was no food pressure from the hostess.
Cottage, that consultant was way out of line! Oh yes, we did discuss the book. It was
Three Junes which some of us loved and some of us hated. I liked it.
I have a few things to do indoors and then it'll be into the garden clothes and out to plant.
I have tons of space to fill and need to go to the local feed store for some seeds for spaghetti squash and pepper squash. I'll plant more beans too and hope they are ready by August 1 when I have a very important visitor and family coming for a visit. I'll also have the Pypers two dogs boarding here for a week later in the month and dogs do like veggies.
At the Mill this morning, we are selling fig and walnut bread. I am staying away until 11 when it'll all be gone. We sell 40 loaves of bread in an hour and it's become an "event" around here with folks driving here from the nearby "cities" - small cities. Lots of visitors is a good situation in this wee tourist town. We (The Mill) are really hoping to open a wee bakery here one day but funding is the problem as usual.
OK - I intend to be dressed and ready to roll by eight so ...
I hope you all have a great start to the weekend.
