  • Here's the thing... The reason we're all overweight is because we keep quitting. I KNOW that we're all looking to see those numbers drop dramatically week after week, but that's just not how it always works. If you're eating healthy and exercising, why quit?!?! Why not keep working towards a lifetime of eating healthy and exercising?!

I'm doing WW, but it's not a diet. I need to live healthy. After two weeks of no junk and regular exercise, I already FEEL better in my body. The numbers on the scale are secondary right now.

Losing weight isn't going to change your mindset. Try looking at this differently.
  • Beleive me... losing weight is changing MY mindset. Losing weight means everything to me right now... and has been my obsession for the last few months. I realize that rome wasnt built in a day, but in order to feel a motivation to move forward, i need to see some reward for the amt of effort i am putting in. I know lots of people feel like that. I know i didnt become overweight overnight, but i have been a big girl my whole life... and like quitting smoking, you need to be absolute ready to do it, or you will not succeed. This is my time, and i am doing it. For me.

My scale was wrong this morning and i lost 2lbs at my WI. I feel wonderful that the effort i did put in during the week was well worth it, now i feel refreshed and ready to start a new weeks worth of healthy eating and exercising. It is a struggle to go to the gym... i hate it that much. So, not seeing numbers move on the scale is discouraging to say the least.
  • you should also take measurements and maybe have an article of clothing that you try on once in awhile to see how your body changes. The scale is important but is not the "be all end all".

I'm struggling with getting myself to drink water for some reason, are you drinking water, they say if you don't get enough water your body will actually hold onto water and it will show a weight gain, but it's because you're dehydrated, not actually "not losing weight"

    best of luck
  • I would have a talk with one of the leaders at the meeting. They ask questions that can help us fix a few details...a quick look at our journal or something like that. We are all different when it comes to loosing weight...age, stress levels, trigger foods...I gave myself a full year to give my body time to adjust and do its job of getting back to a healthier weight.

    Keep on truckin and tracking
