I am so pissed about this! Wellness food is EXPENSIVE and they justify the cost because they are supposed to have a private firm check the food before it goes out to the consumer.

Yah - I heard about this a few weeks. I buy my cats a flat of 12 large cans at a time since I get 10% off for buying a flat. By the time I heard about this, I only had a few cans left from what I bought months before. Out of that few, only one or two had the dates that were recalled. So I have no idea how many cans my cats ingested of the recalled stuff. They don't rely on canned food for their main diet - they get a scoop each, once a day... the rest of the time they got dry kibble to munch on so I wasn't really concerned as it wasn't a main part of their diet. I didn't bother calling the company as I had no idea how many cans I had that were recalled and my cats are acting normal.
