  • Hey, Autumn Beauties! Welcome to the March thread and as always, ANYONE is welcome to join in at any time.

    The March Challenge:
    1. Set a simple weight loss goal for the month of March.
    2. Set a goal of how many days you’d like to work-out in March.
    3. Set a goal of how many days you’re going to VISIT THIS THREAD and check in with us. This is important and a great way to stay on track.
    4. Anything else you’d like to track here for the month, please do!

Bonuses (Should You Choose To Except Them…)

    5. On the days you do your usual workouts, you must add on the following for a few minutes:
    A) Choose either jogging in place or jumping jacks.
    B) Choose the NUMBER of minutes you will do jog in place/do jumping jacks (ex: 3 minutes) and time yourself and make sure you do it! You may switch off and do each exercise if you wish.
    C) Set a goal of how many days you will be doing this. It’s up to you (ex: 10 days).
    D) That’s it, have fun!

    6. One of my strong points when it comes to losing weight is working out and maybe that goes for many of us. I’ve always heard that you wanna get a good sweat going for at least 20 minutes while working out because THAT’S what’s going to burn those calories. So this number six challenge will help us really FOCUS on that. I want you to workout until you SWEAT, SWEAT, SWEAT! Set a goal of how many days you will do this and make it happen. This is important because there are days where, yes, we get our workout in but we don’t sweat much or not at all. Work hard, and sweat it out, put some extra *UMPH* in your workouts on the "sweat" days. LOL!

So, I believe that is everything, Autumn Beauties! Let’s do it!

Hi pattypaw! Welcome to the thread! It sounds like you have some great goals. Drinking a ton of water is so good for you. I drank 20 oz. of diet pepsi yesterday (something I haven't done in months) and this morning I was a tad up on the scale...I'm hoping it is just the sodium/bloatedness from the pop and the salt I added to my air-popped popcorn last night...blech...

    Good luck to you!

  • Helllooooo Ladies!

I am back!!!! February was a BUSY month for me and truly over extended myself. Although I didn’t completely have loose track, I was able to update(lower) my ticker. I only lost 4lbs for the month of February but, March is going to be better! I must truly get me schedule going because gas is so high here, compared to what we are used to that I can’t just be driving to the gym and nowhere else ( my college budget is TIGHT). I got rid of my Ipod Touch because it was collecting dust, therefore, I need to officially covert my phone to an MP3 player. A lot to catch up on but, Most of all I have missed the support I get from you ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will post my March goals later tonight!

GettinFit- HI there!!!! How is the oatmeal? I see the commercials but Im skeptical! Great goals for March!

    Redheadchick- I love #6!

I see some great goals so far, we can do it!
  • Welcome, everyone! So glad you're all here.....newbies too. Today has been going great. I've been eating every three hours as planned and I've been doing a better job of staying on plan thanks to my cell phone alarm going off and reminding me to eat. My weight doesn't go up and down every day either....it's been staying the same and I assume soon it will start to creep down. I'm gonna get in a good workout tonight after work. I'm so ready to get out of the 200s.

    Monique
  • Welcome back, Lisa! And what's this about only losing 4 pounds in February...February is only 28 days long and 4 pounds is AWESOME! Good for you...
  • Welcome Redheadchick.

Lisa - 4 pounds is awesome!

Monique - I'm glad that your reminder to eat every 3 hours is working for you. I hear you on wanting to get to onederland. I will be so glad when I break this plateau and start losing more weight. Today I started weight training and I'm hoping that helps.

    crm your goals are great!

I hope we all have an awesome month.
  • It was a good day.....I ate healthy, I worked out for 20 min before breakfast + 2 min of jumping jacks (sorry neighbors below me!) I drank 5 glasses of water today and did Walk a Mile, Leslie Sansone with my 8 yr old. and I have to tell you he is too darn cute... in the middle of the video he starts rubbing his belly and said "i feel my tummy getting flatter!" then looks over at me and said "look at yours, it might be getting smaller too"
  • Thanks for the welcomes everyone. OMG-I actually did it, I got up at 4.45 this morning and...wait for it....went jogging! I made it about 8 blocks (not running the whole time of course) and didn't pass out or throw up. I feel great, my left butt cheek is a little sore but I think I will live. Good luck everyone on their goals!
