I am banishing 187.6!

  • For the past 9 days, I have seen 187.6 on the scale for 4 of those days. I was 187.6 this morning and I am banishing that number!!! My banishment number last month was 190. I just couldn't seem to get below it. This month, my banishment number is 187.6. I am sooooo tired of seeing it on the scale and I am banishing it from my body forever ~ if I see it one more time this week I am going to flip out!
  • Good idea. Maybe "off with his head" too so he won't sneak back. I'm considering that for 190 although he's only been here two days.
  • Seriously! I am pretty patient when it comes to losing weight, but there are certain numbers that just...don't...seem...to...go...away! They stick around forever like it's their main goal to torment me. I know it's just a test of my patience, and that's ok because it makes me stronger, but there comes a time when enough is enough.
  • I'd like to banish 200.0!!! I'm also 9 days stuck...One day a little up, one day a little down, with 200.0 showing up on 4 scattered days. I really, really, really want to consider myself officially in Onederland, and at 199.4 I'll officially be 50 pounds down, but my body is refusing to cooperate. I just did two days at 1800 cals, and am now dropping back down to my standard 1300-1400, so I'm hoping that'll help break this obnoxiously placed mini-plateau
  • ruthxxx ~ I say go ahead and banish 190...it's never too early!!

And good luck to you, spixiet ~ 50 pounds is an awesome accomplishment! It sounds like you are soooo close to kicking 200 forever!
  • Bah, I know exactly how you feel- I've been bouncing up and down the same 1 lb for the entire month of February. As soon as it disappears, the little bugger sneaks up on me again the very next day. Here's to banishing those needy, persistent weights that just won't give up! Get out of here, we don't want you anymore!
  • 174.8 was my number. Once I moved past it, I played it in the lottery that week. I didn't win the lottery but I won the battle of that banishment number. And you will too! :-) The only benefit from staying at the same number is it helps me reevaluate what I'm eating or how I'm working out and I change it up a bit. It's worked everytime for me. Sometimes it's hard to change something that has worked for so long but eventually you just have to.

Tell 187.6 goodbye for me!! :-)
  • Go away 187.6!

Also, 200 is a number that is a pain in the butt to get rid of. I remember it sticking around for me for a while, too.

Now, I'm punching 170 in the mouth! It did a sneak-attack on my beloved 160...now it's time for REVENGE!
  • I'm trying to say goodbye to 224/225! The scale has been bouncing around those two a while. I finally saw 223 this morning, I'm just hoping it sticks around and doesn't go back up to 224 tomorrow.
  • Thanks for the encouragement, and it's good to know that I'm not the only one with a number that just won't go away!! I am so focused and determined to not see 187.6 anymore this week ~ it will happen for all of us and we'll get past those numbers that like to stick to our @$$ for no good reason!
