The warm fuzzy glow of a goal reached 3+ weeks early!

  • So I started back on plan on October 19th at 287 lbs (had kept off 12 lbs I'd lost previously) and I'm making 4 month mini goals to keep me focused.

My goal was to lose 32 lbs by feb 19th, which was a reasonable 2 lbs a week. I had originally set the goal a little lower, to account for stalls, but was losing so well in november that I readjusted it to a higher goal. I'm still doing really well and have readjusted it again! 5 lbs lower than before.

I'm really excited. I have an appt with my pain doc on feb 24th and the last time she saw me I weighed 271 lbs and the next time she sees me I will hopefully be in the 240's.

    EXCITEMENT!

Couldn't do it without you guys!
  • Oh, fantastic! Good for you!

Do you think losing weight will help with the "pain" you mention? My mom sees pain specialists, but unfortunately weight loss can't help her. Hers is entirely nerve related.
  • No, mine is as well. I have fibromyalgia.

It's managed better now though. Exercise and going gluten free has greatly reduced it.

I take lyrica, and it worked at first but not so much now. Once spring hits I'm going to ask to be taken off of it.
  • That's awesome! I hope you feel really proud of yourself!
  • Congratulations
  • Good for you and during such a difficult time of the year too!
  • Way to Go, Lottie!!

    You've done an amazing job!!
