Good morning!
Windsong, you are an early riser!
What are your plans for the day today?
Ruth, I checked yesterday's thread before I came to this one and it made me smile when I read about you carrying your car battery into the house. We did many years ago, too. It was just part of life in those days but I'm sure glad we don't have to do it anymore! I think "Wonder Woman" still describes you pretty well. I often read your posts and wonder if they've got more than 24 hours in a day up there in Delta!
Good luck at the dentist this afternoon!
Mathilda, your hotel might be the most exciting part of your trip, eh? A few years ago I worked with a family that believes they had a ghost in their home. He was 'friendly' and would sit in the kids' rooms at bedtime and they talked to him as they were falling asleep. I had each of the 3 children in my class and they all talked about him as if he was part of their family. Very tricky situation for a kindergarten teacher. There were lots of arguments when classmates told them that ghosts aren't real. And lots of upset parents when their kids were nervous about going to bed in case a ghost came in their room, too. Anyway, they did some remodeling when the kids got a little older and they found the ghost's 'nest' in the attic. They tried not to disturb it but he left during the remodeling and never returned.
I'm not sure I believe they had a ghost in their home, but they sure do and you asked for stories.
When is the trip? My daughter keeps trying to get me to come to Houston over February vacation, and this frigid weather almost convinces me to go. I have too many other commitments though.
Uh, Cyndi - It's
just Maine?
I wonder if you and Julie will have a free evening so that we can meet this year? I'm still disappointed that I couldn't make it work last year. How great that your meeting went so well yesterday! Hopefully these changes will make the difference you're looking for.
Cottage, it's funny how really cold weather can make cold weather seem warm, isn't it? Ruth mentioned it today too, and Fergie and I were so happy to see that it was only -3 this morning.
Lisa, I hear you on the push ups! First I had the humiliation of the pretest, and now I'm trying to remember how long it's been since my shoulders and upper arms haven't been sore! LOL I'm still on my first week though, so I'm hoping it will get easier. I'm really glad Annie posted that link, despite my stiff upper body.
OK, every time I proofread my post someone else has posted and I find something I want to tell them, but it's getting late so I'm not even going to check this time. Hello to anyone I missed and everyone who checks in later.
Enjoy your Tuesday friends!
