Red Team Fall Focus Chat Thread Week 10 (11/22-11/28)

  • Here we are in week 10. We are down to 10 members of the red team. Hang in there team! For fellow Americans, enjoy your Thanksgiving with friends and family this week. I kind of feel like being away in Korea again this year will help keep me on track because I have no holiday feast to go to. Work as usual this week, hitting the gym hard, and keep working on my calorie counting.

    Cheers red team.

    Be back later with results.
  • Anyone out there?

I am so pleased with myself for giving up the sweets for the last ten days. I feel empowered going into the holiday! (We'll see where that really gets me!)

This week I can not attend any of my Y classes because they are re doing the floor in the studio. So, yesterday I "ran" on the treadmill (4.7 for 30 minutes) for the first time in a long while. Boy it is a lot easier after losing weight! Thank goodness since I am not getting any younger, at least I can keep the weight off and hopefully still run a little.
  • Sorry team. I had a busy day yesterday getting ready for parent's night at school and then if you watched the news today you know what happened here in South Korea today. Needless to say, I don't have results yet for this week but will have them soon. So sorry. I can say the blue team won the weigh in though.

Hope everyone is doing well this week.
  • Terapet, you are amazing! I swear sweets are all I've been eating. It's been bad.

I've kept up with working out, but my eating's been awful. I can't wait till after the holidays. I know holidays are no reason for pigging out, but I'm really struggling. I'm just grateful I've been working out 5 days a week.
  • I too am heading down the slippery slope of it's too cold to go outside, so let's stay indoors and be bumps on a log! I'm afraid to step on the scale just from the past 2 days of abandon.

Shan-thought of you when I heard about the incident. Hope your friends & family are safe and sound.
  • happy Tanksgiving! Enjoy the time you spend with your family & friends
  • Hope everyone's had a great Thanksgiving!
  • Sorry for the late results. So much happening here right now.

Red team lbs lost and percentage: +2.59lbs, +.12%, Blue team wins week 9.

    Biggest Loser:
    tambolina, -3lbs, -1.93%

    Honorable mention:
    Terapet, -2lbs, -1.43%
    Angie, -2.59lbs, -1.14%

Congrats to tambolina for being our biggest loser and to Terapet and Angie for pulling great numbers last week as well.

We lost the weigh in totally because of my 8lb gain last week and for that i am truly sorry. But I have to keep myself accountable. On a good note, I'm seeing a loss on the scale so far this week so I hope to see a good number on Sunday.

**Please note: I do live in South Korea and if you have been watching the news you know there is a lot going on here right now. If I don't post everyday or I'm a few days late with results I apologize. There is just a lot of unknown and what ifs playing out here on the island I'm on right now.
  • Morning all -- Did my weigh in today and I'm down .8 since last week...still it's a loss and I'll take it.

Shan -- I'm shamefully ignorant about what's going on in your corner of the world, so I'm off to google it when I leave here. Hope you are safe and well.

DS and I are headed to Disney this week on Wednesday, so unless they have a 'guess your weight' game, I probably won't have a weigh in to post. I still have one more freebie, so I guess I'll have to use it. I wonder if the hotel will provide a scale...lol.
  • Ahh...thanksgiving is always hard for me...I am the family cook and have to make the dinner. I didn't use as much butter or salt and tried using fresh ingredients rather than premade (made a homemade cream of mushroom for the greenbeans that turned out yummy) but still ate way too much. Afraid to weigh in tomorrow will likely have a gain

Travelling today and running around. Take care Shan!
  • Week 9 results are posted have a great day
  • Hey all. Things are quiet here so far. I'm hoping to be down this week a little from last week after my monster gain. Sorry again about that. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. Be back later to post weigh in.
  • Hi Teamies,

I have been eating way too much. Ugh. Back to my plan today though, thankfully.

shan84-You have been in my thoughts ever since the altercation initiated. What a mess. I don't know what to say but I hope things settle down soon so everyone can get back to their lives. Obviously don't worry about the weight gain last week (unless it helps keep your mind off things).

Well, Thanksgiving is behind us now. On to the next one. I hope to eat very clean for the next few weeks so I have a cushion to work with going into Christmas. I have promised myself also to try to limit myself to one glass of wine when I allow myself to drink. I always want two! It is not so much the calories but I think I enjoy the food less then. I love a good meal and I think I kinda missed out on really enjoying that T-day dinner.
  • Don't forget to weigh in today! You have about a little under 4 hours left to do so.

Well I lost 3.2 lbs this week from my huge gain last week. At least its a loss of some kind. There is a lot of stress going on here right now. I only made it to the gym one time this past week. This week my goal is to go everyday for at least an hour. Next Sunday I have my first 5k walking marathon. Woohoo!

Be back later to post new threads. GO RED TEAM!!
  • Down a pound. Not a huge amount, but I'll take it. I think I'm pressing my luck to get to 150 by the end of this challenge.
Just hope to finish the challenge out at an overall loss.

    Stay safe Shan!
