It DESTROYS the wii.



I didn't get to play yet, but I watched bf play this afternoon before work and it was so crazy! This...technology. Insane. It was SO minority report. ha.

Anyhow, it's VERY active! He was using arms and legs and just moving around looking like a fool.

And honestly I HATE the 'family' ads for it, they have people making these stupid giant smiley faces.....but....

it snaps random pics of you that you can share on facebook and such while you are playing, and ALL of his pics had these giant smiles! HA! How did they know!? LOL

I am gonna play some later tonight. I will post a proper review soon!

It looks like a lot of fun. It looks so physical. If I was into playing video games I would get it. Whenever I get a video game, I play it for a while and then it collects dust. I still have a guitar and band set from the guitar hero craze that has not been touched in a few months.

I can't wait for your personal review! I really want to get this. I've been having a hard time getting active and especially with the winter coming, this could be really good. My DH would love to get it (he's a gamer) so I know he's on board anyways!

I saw an ad for this today. Looks a lot funner then Just Dance for the Wii, although I haven't tried Just Dance 2. I don't know if I could convince DH to get an Xbox though, he is a Nintendo Nerd...

We're getting it for Christmas! I can't wait to unwrap it Christmas morning and start playing. :-)

PinkHoodie~ I used to be nothing but nintendo, and dh used to be Playstation all the way, we both swore we'd never play anything else. Let me tell you, the 360 blows every other system away! We bought it 3 years ago and never looked back. :-) And the online gaming community is sooo worth the $10 a month for a gold membership. Plus, where else are you going to play Halo? lol

UGH! I want this and I want it BAD!!!!!!

So my boyfriend is a gamer and we have playstation. He is an AVID playstation fan. I guess if you have playstation then you can't be an xbox or nintendo fan and vice versa? That whole thing makes no sense to me....I play games (ie Sims 3) and love to watch him play Fallout New Vegas on the Playstation but SERIOUSLY! I WANT THIS GAME.

So I brought it up to him and he was like umm NO. We only do playstations in this house! LOLLL Anyway, I'm not goin to spend the money on this myself but instead tell my friends if they want to get me something this year, donate ten or twenty bucks to my xbox fund! I'm sure in the end he'll end up paying the other half anyway. I figure I pay for my boot camp every month, I'm not going to spend another 400 on somethign else but I do REALLY want this =)

Augh! I am particpating in nanowrimo this year and I got behind on my word count, had to catch up yesterday so had NO time to play and I work tonight so my review won't come until Saturday afternoon!

BUT, I watched bf play it again last night for a few mins before bed and it is just insantiy! I can't wait. boooo! Stupid LIFE getting in the way of video games! LOL

Also, re: xbox vs playstation vs nintendo:

We had all three until recently!

We have hit a rough patch financially, and honestly we loved the xbox so much more so we just sold the wii, all our wii accessories and the playstation and it's games.

Some boys are ridiculous though. :P

We just got the new Xbox that is Kinect ready and I so want one! We are a little strapped financially (what with having to buy a new XBox a couple of weeks ago) so we may not even get it for Christmas. Oh well, it'll give it a few generations to work out all the kinks.

We LOVE our XBox, pay the $50/yr for the gold membership and both of us play online a lot. We also have a Wii that we use periodically. There does seem to be bad blood between Playstation and XBox, but we've just never seen the need to own a PS. The systems are killer expensive and they don't exclusively own the rights to any games we care about.

I'm waiting for a response to this too!

We have a Wii, Playstation 2, Playstation 3 and I just added XBox 360 with Kinect to my Amazon Christmas wishlist

Carly, Kinect isn't actually a different console, it hooks up to your XBox much like the Guitar Hero or Rock Band hardware. I think it's going for $100 for just the hardware and then the games are $50/each on top of that.

ETA: I don't think you can buy the hardware just by itself yet. It comes with a game and looks like it's running about $150.

yeah ours was 150, apparently they are selling new bundles that are xbox + kinect and one or two games for below cost.
