Worst terroriest attack since sept 11

  • Has it been big news in us? Looks like 100's of Australians may of been killed in the Bombings in Bali. Its just awfull, bombs going off on a Saturday night in a crowded night club. Looks like they delibratly set off a small bomb to scare everyone out into the street and then set off a huge bomb in the street. When will this end? So scary

  • Kitty! That is terrible! We heard about Bali, but I had not heard about the Aussies. I'm sure everyone there is mourning.

(I grew up in Ryde, near Sydney and my family lived there for 10 years, although we are American.)

My prayers are with everyone affected by this.

  • I know... it's so scary. What's happening to this world? It's so stressful to think that my generation will be taking over soon, and look what we'll be inheriting. Slightly dissapointing too... PEACE. -Apryl
  • They said on the news that it was on the second annerversary of the us cole bombing. Its really shaken everyone up here. It feels very much like it was aimed at Australians. If you cant get into the country to do your evil then why not choose a tourist nightclub in Australia's #1 overseas destination? 3/4's of the injured are Australian and though the offical toll is still only 15 at least 187 ppl perised in the blasts, the priminister warns ppl to brace themselves for a much higher Australian death rate, with 220 Aussies unacounted for it doesnt look good. People are saying its because we have supported President Bush but I think it would of happened anyway. It's scary to think it is a war out there and noone knows who will be hit next. They are saying the finland shopping centre blast was terrorism as well, noone is immune.
  • I guess that is the whole point - no one is immune. Since many of the terrorists have no value for their own life, how can they have any for the rest of humanity? They really are trying to take the rest of the world back to the Dark Ages - Huns with technology.

  • Disgusting.

Is the only word that comes to mind.

  • How sad... I seriously worry about the future of this world.
  • I too worry about the future. I sometimes am afraid of what I am bringing my children into. But I look at their innocence and remember, that yes, the world right now is bad, but it is up to us to show them the love and understanding and forgiveness that is needed to make this world better. If we teach them these simple concepts, they can make it better.

My heart goes out to all of your country. I am sorry to hear of the huge losses you have all experienced.
  • It is scary...and Denise, I know what you mean. I often wonder if I should really try and have another.
  • Hearing about this really angers me....... enough is enough. This could happen to any of us. No one is safe - something must be done.
