Starting all over again...

  • So hey everyone. The name is Anna. I'm new to this thing, but not entirely.

I used to weigh 185 pounds and then lost 20 pounds. For a long time I was in the range of 160-165 pounds and for the first time ever fit the size 12 jeans. Felt pretty awesome.

BUT. Life happened. I got into a terrible car accident. A friend of mine got hospitalized. Long story. Pretty much, I got depressed and got back to food. In the past half a year, I gained weight and now weigh 200 pounds. Sucks.

Oh well. I'm not giving up.

In 105 days I will weigh 125 pounds. Impossible, right? That's what I think... but I'll try any way.

I started a blog about it, but since my post count is not 25 just yet, I can't share it here. I will, later

    So yeah... hi?
  • I think if you develop a workable eating/exercise plan, you will be happy with whatever weight loss you achieve.

I think 105 days is a good time frame to develop new, healthy habits.

And then hopefully you'll continue on for however long it takes to get to 125 pounds. And then you'll continue on to maintain your weight loss.

This is a marathon, not a sprint. But it's nice that you are gung ho about it. But keep it up even when obstacles stand in your way.

    Good luck.

    Keep posting.
  • Thanks Caroline! I hope to find some stability in this. It's my greatest weakness.
  • Hi! Welcome to 3FC
Can I be very nosy and ask if there's any particular reason why you want to be at 125 pounds in 105 days? A special event? Or just a random number? I'm curious (or just plain nosy!)
I think you can do it believe in yourself and your goals, keep posting on here, read, research, plan, exercise, eat healthily and you are well on your way! So good luck and I look forward to hearing about your progress!
  • Well, my birthday is in 104 days from today, on the 21st of November. And I just want to look my best ever
  • Oooh! Nice idea! I was kinda aiming for Goal by New Year as I was at my heaviest last year on the 31st and I'd like to be at my lightest this year!
But I reckon I can do it before then so I'm gonna try and get there for the 25th of November: Opening Night on my first university performance!
Keep us up to date with how you're doing yeah? Good luck!
  • You can do it! Good luck
  • Good luck with your efforts!!
  • Thank you all for your encouragement and wishes!

Just came back from the gym... hehehe. This is going to be almost impossible.
  • Hi and welcome to 3FC.

    Good luck with your goals.

    Hugs

  • Welcome and good luck!

  • Good luck with your goal.
I will love to read your blog when you post it! I'm loving these blogs. Mine is keeping me focused, for sure.

My birthday is November 3, and I think I should think about making a goal for myself too. A solid on that I can start to visualize. I do believe it makes a difference if we consciously "see" our goals realized in a concrete way. I'm so vague now, that could be keeping me taking days off here and there. With 105 days, you don't have one day to waste and that's what it takes.

Good for you and thanks for sharing!
