  • My favorite is the mini Skinny Cow cookies and cream ice cream cup. made with skim milk- 150 calories!!! how about you?
  • Fudgesicles are way up there. I cannot recommend them highly enough. 40 calories each! It's what I eat when I'm feeling grumpy because I can't have ice cream.

Also, a big fan of Yoplait Light, particularly the Thick and Creamy Blueberry Pie and the Key Lime Pie (tasty, but not thick and creamy) flavors. They're 100 calories each and I very much enjoy the huge variety of flavors. I've also always enjoyed literal frozen yogurt, and these work well for freezing.
  • greek yogurt is awesome, for only 60 cal. and i like julie's organic fudgesicles, so amazing for only 100 cal. Also ezekiel sprouted grain bread is delicious for only like 80 cal a slice, their english muffins are awesome as well.. but not necessarily low cal.
  • Kale! Leeks! Mushrooms!
  • Nonfat, sugarfree yogurt !! Its something insane like 35 calories a serving, and LOADED with cherries.

grape tomatoes- I could eat them like candy

Starbucks skinny cinnamon dolce latte (ok , not at the grocery but awesomely tasty and the same nutritionals as 1 serving skim milk!!)

100 calorie pack almonds- the only "100 cal" packs I buy because the rest are processed crap. But it's so helpful with the nuts bc they're so easy to overeat.

sunflower seeds in the shell- takes FOReVER to eat a serving! Great when you really want the emotional factor of the mesmerizing hand to mouth effect

NSA fudgesicles and frozen yogurt starbursts- great calorie value at 45/60 calories respectively.
  • Fruits and vegetables
  • fresh sugar snap peas, and snow peas. so yummy, raw or steamed.
  • all of the yummy fruit out right now...rasberries, blackberries, strawberries and bing cherries. Also, I am a huge hummus fan. I eat it with veggies, on sandwiches, and on crackers. Also, another vote skinny cow-I love their drumsticks. My favorite is the caramel one. I have a couple each week and love it. Oh yeah one more thing is laughing cow cheese. It is awesome.
  • Love skinny cow products.

Also a big fan of Emerald's Dark Chocolate Roast Almonds. YUM!!
  • oh yes, sugar snap peas ROCK! I eat them all the time
  • I'm another one who loves fudgesicles! Mmmm! They keep my sweet tooth at bay.

Another good one is baby food snacks. Particularly if it's dry. VERY low in calories and HIGHLY nutritious!

maybe your store doesn't have it, but they do have a key lime pie thick and creamy, also if you like that one I recommend the thick and creamy lemon meringue, its my fav!

everyone keeps mentioning fudgesicles, good call, also the frozen fruit bars are amazing and only like 50 calories I believe, the all natural ones of course
  • shortstuff: Thanks for the heads up! They didn't have either of those last time I was there, but I'll keep checking- it does sound tasty.

I love the frozen fruit bars, but I was always kind of annoyed that they had less fruit than I might prefer. It eventually occurred to me I could just FREEZE FRUIT for the same effect... lol. That said, the lowest calorie per bulk of fruits that it is feasible to freeze (basically everything but apples, I find) is grapes. Man, frozen grapes will take me maybe an hour to eat in a 200 calorie quantity. It's also great for disposing of grapes that have gone a little mushy- they always gross me out, but when they're frozen I can't tell the difference.
  • I love fresh fruit but I also love the big bags of frozen fruit available at Wal-Mart. The bag is full of frozen peach slices, red grapes, strawberries, pineapple, etc. I sometimes eat a few pieces frozen or I thaw out one cup's worth for an hour or so and top with lo-fat Cook Whip. It's 70 calories a cup, plus the topping. It's delicious and you don't have to worry about whether the fruit is ripe or over-ripe. I learned this from a friend who brought it to a party.
I thought the fruit was fresh!
  • Ranier cherries. Kind of expensive, but they're soooo good, and the season is sooo short.

The calories can add up, but compared to a candy bar, they're a calorie bargain.
