  • That's amazing! Both the weight loss and the technology (the weight loss more though, of course!)

I love how your head turns to the viewer at your lower weight. All sassy and confident!

  • I love the whole pic morphing thing! Well done. Congrats on the loss thus far!

How'd you get the pic to do that?
  • That has got to be the most concrete vision of the 100 lb change I've ever seen. Wow!

It's amazing how different you look.
  • agree with what everyone is saying - loving both the way you are looking plus the very cool programming you did to show it!!
  • Amazing! Congrats on all your hard work!
  • That is so awesome! You are doing great.

How did you do that with the photos?
  • congrats! love how you did the special effects
  • That is too cool! It really REALLY shows the loss!!!
  • Thanks everyone! It's just been something very difficult for me to see objectively, especially since the process has been so slow. Even when I first rediscovered those photos with the green shirt, photos I literaly hadn't seen in years, my initial thought was, "Wow, was I really that big back then?" which quickly traded off as to "Wow, do I really look much different now?" when I compared them to the newer ones.

I mean, I know there's a difference, but placing the photos side by side really didn't register to me, probably because it really is so hard to see ourselves objectively. My boyfriend immediately recognized the change as enormous, and I'm guessing it was especially obvious since he'd never seen me that big in real life and has only seen me lose the last 35 pounds or so. I could see the difference a little easier when I matched up the size of the images, overlapped them directly, and toggled back and forth, but somehow it was the morphing that really made all the changes "see-able" in my mind and actually made them sink in. And I'll agree it's sort of quease-inducing, lol . . . I really can't imagine the fat expanding and contracting like that as it really does, just that it happens much different rate.

I did the morphing with a program called Fantamorph, something I'd played with a while back on my banner when I got the free trial version; since I now have the full version and can try more with it. It's pretty simple actually, the before and after photos are placed separately on the screen, you line up added dots to match the corresponding points on the images and the program does the rest. Um, and if I made that confusing, it's really simpler than it sounds. More info can be found on their page, just google the program's name.

Heh heh, and it seems I've always liked fairies. And wow, I guess I hadn't given much though to how much healthier my hair is now.
  • Too cool!! I love it! I'm so impressed with what you have done...in so many ways! LOL!
