It's official

  • Well I'm off Medifast now and have started South Beach officially. I have only a few MF packets left and it is food I don't really like so last night I prepared my lunch for work today with phase 1 food and have gotten to the beach! Hope to get to know everyone really well and I'm sure I'll have questions for you guys. On a side not I'm 1 week in on P90x and I am a hurting pup right now. Have a great weekend everyone.
  • Welcome, I'm pretty new here too. Wall start my 4th week on Mon. Feeling great. I think state of mind is so important. Keep goals in mind but concentrate on the health benefits long term. The people on this board are so helpful. Check in daily. I don't always get a chance to post but always drop in and read what everyone has to offer. Good luck.
  • Glad to have you here and on the beach with the rest of us...GO...Go...Go...
  • An official !
  • Welcome to SB!
  • Hope this is a better switch for you! I am currently switching from Medifast to wonderslim, though its fairly different to SB! best of luck to you!
  • Welcome

    Welcome!!!!
Im still on Phase 1 myself.... hope you have a great time at the beach.
  • Welcome and don't get discouraged! I had a very hard time on p1. Had to really push my way through it. My hubby on the other hand didn't want to leave it, so I guess it's different for everyone. We're all here to support each other, so just holler out if you have a question or concern. SBD has really been working for me when I keep my chin up and my moods in order. I am amazed at how easy the weight has been gradually slipping away. I don't even exercise, although I know I should.
  • Welcome! I think you'll really like SBD. I am also in Phase 1, but have done both SBD and Atkins before. I will offer one piece of advice: make sure you're eating enough. I am far less hungry on a low carb type diet than when I'm eating more carbs, and I could eat less than 1,000 cals a day and not be hungry, but I know that's not good for me. And, with intense workouts like P90x, it's important you're properly fueling your body. When I've been tempted to eat less calories (below 1,000) and low carb while working out, I don't lose weight. So, I know my body has a way of forcing me to give it what it needs.
  • Thanks for the tips everyone I learned a lot about myself the year on Medifast. I loved it but it got to expensive so this will be my second attempt on SB the first I know I didn't want to do it I just went through the motions to make my wife happy. Now We are both 100% committed to the plan and the life change.
I get all my water about 150OZ and thats just water now CL or Diet soda. I'm still trying to eat 6 times a day like I did on MF I gotta say the 1st week on SB for me wasn't to bad so I'm just going to keep plugging along.
    Have a great week everyone.
  • you are doing awesome!!! I am proud of you...now I have someone to cook more of the meals and snacks
