  • Hello all!
I started my weight loss last april at 204lb. i was 25yo, lonely, always sad and tired, with all of my self-confidence GONE. i got sick and went to the doctor on april 20th, i hopped on a scale and found out i was 204lb. i had been under the impression i was still in 180s-190s. naive me lol number 200 was big and scary enough for me to realize the severity of the situation. i started eating less and walking more the very same day and i lost about 8lb in one month but then i kinda gave it up because the road seemed to be soooo long. on the 1st of June i got on my scale and found out that i didn't gain anything back, but lost a couple of pounds. and that's where my successful part began. i was walking and eating right and then i incorporated running. i reached the weight of 127 by December 2009 and i've been maintaining ever since then. I gained back to 129-132lb over the winter months, but it did not discourage me and i'm back to 127-128 already. I've decided to go down another 10-15lb and i'm working on it now. I didn't make any official BEFORE pictures because it was WAY TOO scary and embarrassing, but i found a couple of them at work. So, here's my before and after pics. It IS VERY HARD to post my before pictures, but i'll be fine Hope you like the result, I love it and i'm super proud of myself!!!

    Updated:

2.5 years after my Big Weight Loss Adventure I'm still here and I'm still working on my body. I've started P90X today. I run 5K 2-3 times a week just for fun as a part of my exercise routine. I watch my carbs a lot. I'm on a modified Atkins, I think. I don't eat bread/spaghetti/cakes/sweets etc but I eat some fruits, I allow myself cheese, nuts, and peanut butter. Everything else is pretty much Atkins but I also watch fat, so I don't eat bacon and sausage (unless it's turkey sausage as a treat). I love myself and what I look like and I feel great and I learnt to be proud of where I came from. My stomach is pretty much ruined and I would need to have it surgically fixed if I ever wanted to have it taken care of. I think that taking care of your body is the easiest thing out there - you don't need much money or time to do it. you don't have to go to school to learn how to do it. Everything you need is on the Internet, in your local grocery store, and a neighborhood park or your own living room. You need some will power, but it gets easier, it really does. Just push through the pain and desperation. Even if you take 2 steps forward and 1 step back - in the end you still make 1 step forward. I've lost and regained and lost again probably 300lb by now lmao but i'm not giving up. I will reach my fitness goal.

    I'm down to 116lb and I have a new hobby - Roller Derby! I love it ))
