Shopping NSV

  • We were out for our family mall walking and I wondered into New York and Co because there were people everywhere. I looked at the clothes and my hubby suggested that I try on some of the pants they had on sale. I looked at them and said they look small. But they fit. The xl petite but they were a little short. I can actually go to NY and Co for clothes. I was too excited.

Then we went to Ross. I tried on some shirts, pants and a dress. I was shocked at how they fit. I even tried on a pair nike work out shorts. I had gotten an xxl because I know I would probably be able to wear them. My hubby said no get the xl. I said those look too small. But I tried them anyway. THEY FIT!!! My legs and butt looked pretty good to me. I was too afraid to walk out of the dressing room. When I go home I tried them on so he could see them and he said those will be too big in a little while. They fit really good!!

I wish there was a shopping smiley. Shopping is what I love to do most to check my progress.

  • Jigglefree~ Way to go! It is so exciting to be able to shop at the "normal" size stores, so many more choices of stores and styles, etc.
    Keep up the good work.
  • Congrats to you!

NY&Co is one of my absolute "favoritest" stores
  • Happy dance for YOU! And it sounds like your hubby is really supportive.
That helps a lot. Congrats on your new you!

  • That's great, I love shopping too and right now I don't have much to wear but I want to wait two more months before I go on a shopping spree..
  • Congrats! I haven't went down a size in two years.
  • Woohoo!! That's the best when that happens! When I'm doing laundry now I always hold up my new, smaller clothes and marvel that I fit in them!

Enjoy your successes now and the many more that will come
  • That is so exciting Jiggle! I just love how your husband is so supportive. I don't know NY & Co, I wonder if we have it here? I'm so out of the loop on regular size stores because I haven't been able to shop there in so many years. I can't wait to go to White House/Black Market and Anne Taylor Loft! I guess I could probably go now, but I want to make sure I can definitely fit the clothes before I go. The few "regular" size stores I've gone in, I feel conspicuous - like I'm not allowed there. But it is just my mind telling me I'm still too big, even though I'm not.

    You're such and encouragement!

p.s. I just went and googled NY&Co and there is one in the mall I went to last week! I just had no idea!
