Ladies please: whoosh question

  • I have PCOS and with the PCOS my cycles are extremely irregular. Sometimes 9 months will go by, so I have no records of anything routine about my body. So I have no idea how my body reacts with regard to water retention or lack of progress during TOM.

So last week was TOM for me and I had two weeks of a .2 loss. Then this week I lost 8.2 lbs!! Is this normal or do you think I should increase my calories? I lost about 12 lbs my first week, then a couple weeks of 2 lb losses then those two weeks of .2 losses. So is 8.2 a normal "whoosh" week?
  • I should have read this before I posted. I have a pretty similar question this week!
  • I usually whoosh after TOM. Just be prepared that you may bounce back a little, so don't let that freak you out.
  • I would say as long as you are doing everything the healthy way no need to change your intake as long as you are feeling fine. If you were feeling weak, dizzy, very tired, then I'd say change it up.

    Great job btw
  • I have the same thing - typically no loss then the next week 4 - 6 lbs.
  • My losses seem to be working where I'll have two weeks where I lose approx .5 lbs and the the next two weeks I'll loose 3 or more. After the second 3 lb loss week it usually goes back up .5 to 1 lb but the goes back off in the next whoosh. It's kind of a rollercoasterbut with an overall downward trend.
