nsv last night...

  • When I'm in the bathtub and I drain it and sit in the tub until it's empty... when I then get up it does NOT release an avalanche of water that was dammed up behind my hips and butt!!!!!!!

I'm way smaller than the tub now so it all just flows out as the water flows out...

now this must have happened a bit ago but I never noticed! lol!!!!
  • Nice!

One of my bathroom NSV's. Being able to wrap a regular sized towel around my body.. That felt SO marvelous. So regular. And usual. And, well, normal.
Nowadays, I get the biggest kick out the fact that I have lots of room to spare in that towel.

Those NSV's, they're just going to keep on piling up for you. Life as it should be is just the greatest. Enjoy!!!
  • I remember the first time it didn't feel like I was raising the Titanic to stand up to get out of the tub. Now I can pretty much leap up and out without having to work at it.

Bathtubs are excellent yardsticks for weight loss! Congrats to you!
  • Congratulations!
  • Congrats!!

This made me LOL at something I remembered. When I was at my heaviest I was "too tired" to stand and take a shower so I would SIT in the shower. And the water running down my back would build up behind me like Hoover Dam and threaten to overflow the tub... so I'd have to get up and let the floodgates through every so often.

Wow, I am glad I am not there anymore.
  • This also reminds me of a funny bathtub story.

Back at my heaviest weight, I started getting this red, circular rash right at the base of my spine. It was a ring, right around the bottom of my back, and frankly, sort of alarming...wondered if there was something wrong (hello? Bulls-eye rash on my SPINE) and went into the doctor.

Well, she had no idea what it was, was totally perplexed, even called in a colleague to help figure it out. No one could imagine what had caused it and it eventually faded.

A few days later, DW was looking at me as I changed after a bath, and said it was back. And a few days after that, I took another bath, leaned back to wash my hair, sat back up, and...

realized that my backfat and the bath floor were combining to suction me to the tub, and the rash was really bruising from separating! That's right...my bath was giving me a backfat hickey.

Anyway, that's my embarrassing bath story. Now I've tried to replicate it, and I can't...not enough fat to suction, I guess. for this NSV!
  • Congrats! I can't wait to test if I still dam up the tub or not. I only have a shower to use at the moment and so can't check.

Mandalinn - That happened to me when I was at my heaviest too. I was sooo scared until I figured it out, and then I was disgusted. It was part of what made me start doing something about it.
  • Aww WOOHOO!!!

I haven't been in a bath tub in I dont know HOW many years! Probably since like 5th grade, ha!!
  • Okay, scratch that, I HAVE been in a bath tub, just not taking a bath. I take my showers!!!
  • NSV's can come in some interesting forms. Congrats on your bath victory!
  • That is a great victory! Yahoo! Wow--216--you are rocking it CF.

I notice that the water doesn't go down as much as it used to when I get out. LOL.
  • Ha! I stopped taking baths a long time ago when not enough of my body fit under the water to make it worth while. I'll have to try it again and see.
  • That is freaking awesome! Woohoo!
