I think this will be the first step in the right direction for Mark to be able to REALLY move forward.
I believe he is a good guy and believe he is sorry for the steroid use.
We need to remember it was not illegal when most of these guys started it...but we all know they knew it was wrong. The denial thing hurt many of them.
I vaguely remember these guys being asked how their arms got so huge "overnight"...and getting the "milkshake" answer time and time again...
I think Mark still has a lot to offer baseball, especially the Cardinals....
I do not feel however that he is a Hall Of Fame candidate with or without steroids.
Truck Day is when the moving truck pulls up to Fenway and they load up all the players equipment, fans gather at the gate and wave as it drives off to Fort Myers FLA... Ahhhh.. Red Sox Nation sure knows how to have a good time...
Actually Bill we did go in 2005... there were many 100's of people there... and we never saw the truck ... we nearly froze to death..........

I bet there were years when NATION didn't want them to come back

Absolutely a few years we just waved and prayed they would pick up some hitch-hickers along the way that could pitch or hit......
I spent a good part of today in the Red Sox Ticket 'virtual waiting room' kinda fun... for about 2 mins... I didn't get any tix... my budget calls for bleachers only and they went fast... I blew my first chance, I got into the ordering room and couldn't read those stupid scrambled phrases fast enough.. then I couldn't input my info quickly enough and got booted out...
It was like a game show... ready> set> go>...you have 3 mins... tick tock... HONK you lose...
Today the majority of single game tix went on sale... the 'big' games ie; Yankee and big seats ie; green monster are sold separately on a diff day, which is TBD... GARY, the Dodgers series is right up there in the 'special' category with the Yankees...to be sold separately... I can't imagine why... could it be a certain left fielder will be back in town..
I gave up trying to buy tickets several years ago...it was just a waste of my time trying to beat the "business"....for 1-2 games for my family....for a decent game and decent seats....at a decent price....
I have really been soured on certain parts of the "game"....
but I will never sour on the memories the "game" has brought to my family!
Saw the sign on the corner for Little League sign-ups today....
You know it! The local college team has started practice. They even had the boys out on the field, shovelling off the snow! Yay!
Also the JUCO rankings are out, so any day now... any day... any day...
This year I'm going to buy tickets to the Lowell Spinners minor league games, the stadium is nearby and you never know who'll be there... on a warm July night, I just like to be outside at a baseball game...
