DISASTER! But no pity party here!!!

  • Well, I'm back from my vaycay overseas and I totally gained weight! Even though I was doing some serious walking, the final tally is UP SEVEN FREAKING POUNDS over 3 weeks!!!

    And when I mean serious walking, I mean that I took my pedometer with me and averaged 15,230 steps EACH DAY. With my HIGH at 24,290 on the last day -- around 11 miles given my stride. Clearly the walking didn't compensate for my diet!

    I fully acknowledge that I deserve every single extra pound, given the pasta and gelato and the paninis and the bombolinis and the wine wine WINE so no pity party for me. I'll get right back at it and it'll come off soon enough, I'm sure.

    But has ANYONE found a link to that magical website which tells you how to enjoy a consequence-free eating lifestyle?????

  • Seven pounds in three weeks isn't so bad. I once gained nine pounds in a week on vacation. Get right back in the saddle and you'll be great!

  • The important Thing!! did you enjoy your vacation?? Think back in the "before days" how much would you have gain on one of your vacations?? Yes exercise is not an excuse to over indulge, but you did continue to walk on vacation, which is something, you should be very proud of.

    I also agree, some of that could be added water weight, flying, tends to do that, and you did go overseas, so wait, drink extra water, and you might have a whoosh!! in a day or so.

    No "magic web sites" just get right back to what you know works, and it will be off in a flash.
